Anyone betting against the Texas dirty duo in MLB?
After watching yet another Astro collapse I'm considering betting against Texas and Houston in every game the rest of the year.

Anyone ride cold teams or is this a knee-jerk square stradegy?

btw, I think we could round up 9 posters and give Houston or Texas a tough game as bad as they are playing.

The thing about the Astros is that they do this every year...they get 10-15 games below .500 and then get on a hot streat and end near about .500 by the end of the year.

The only problem with that theory is that their bullpen is absolutely brutal now. In years past, they've had a crutch to lean on. Not anymore. Although I will say that I think getting Jennings back may help the whole pitching staff if he can be a solid #3 or #2.

This isn't the same team the Astros had in the past. I know their bullpen is getting alot of attention because of the past 2 days - but it had actually been fairly decent. The bigger problem is their offense absolutely BLOWS with RISP. They lead the league in men LOB I am certain.

Only thing the Rangers are good for is helping you cash over bets.

The Astros are very poorly managed. Last night they are up 3-2 in the 8th then Wheeler strikes out the 1st two batters but the next two get on base. For God's sake get Wheeler the hell out of there! He's faced four hitters now. He's a set-up guy who pitched the day before too. Your 4 stinking outs from a stinking win!!

I tell you...its frigging hard to sit through these games.

Ya, both those teams got me good a few times this year John.

This just adds more gas on a Texas team that has already gone down in flames. I see that Kameron Loe will start tonight in stead of Brandon McCarthy.

I thought I was the only one that noticed this. I am at the house watching the game and am cusring at Garner to yank Wheeler...before he gives up the lead. 1st pitch and boom the lead is gone. Then he leaves him in there to give up 2 more runs.

Yea terrible managing. The pen was ready. Wheeler was spent. He's not a long or middle reliever!!! And team has to be also thinking...'our manager sucks'.
