When I looked at ratings on SBR I want to know two things: 1) Is my money safe (i.e. they aren't going to gone tommorrow, consistent record of timely payouts, etc) and 2) are they going to try and screw me if I win... All the other stuff (reduced juice, payout fees, lines) you can figure out on my own before depositing or is subjective based on the player, and shouldn't go into the rating system... I personally rarely use BetCris but it isn't because they aren't a safe place to play and their A+ is well deserved...

This is the book you hope you are in when you go on the run of a lifetime. They stroke 6 figure checks without blinking. They are an A+ because they are the biggest, the oldest and have more cash than any other book in the region, the service is good and payouts are on time.

I use BM for most of my plays and like to collect on the betpoints when I get to 30,000 points. I could use other books (which I do occassionally when there are better lines or reduced juice), but I figure my money is relatively safe there. They have always paid in the past but I did request a check payout 9 days ago and still have not received yet. Not sure what the holdup is.

So we are suppose to take SBRJohn as gospel for what reason? I disagree with your assessment. 95% of forum readers love safety of funds I AGREE. Where you are wrong is thinking that if a player doesn't choose Bookmaker they are going to go bottom of the barrel all the way down to Creditwagering or Oddsmaker.

Say you want a same day payout via moneygram or next morning via western union or a check within 3 - 4 days and BOOKMAKER cannot provide that for you - you would then go to the 10-15 books that can.

There are 10++ books that have been around for longer than 3 years with safe funds before you have to make a foolish decision and go with oddsmaker or creditwagering.

What not many people are understanding is that it is not a privilege to have safe funds it is an expectation. I don't have to be paid slowly and have people call me to solicit everyday. Bookmaker treats people like it is an honor to play with them.

As to the topic at hand, I personally think that fund safety alone shouldn't merit an A rating. There are a number of safe books out there that hang a greater number of lines with less juice.

I would never question the integrity of bookmaker. And I'm sure that they are the absolute must have out for whales that are playing 30, 40, 50 dimes on a side. I don't doubt that the rest of the industry
relies on them to hang early numbers and as a place to layoff one-sided action. However, what percentage of gamblers are truly professional? I think it would be a miniscule number. For me personally, bookmaker offers the highest juice, highest book to book and withdrawl fees, and nowhere near the fastest payouts. My experience with them over severall years is one of extreme frustration every time I need any customer service. they have a department for everything, AND THE DEPARTMENT THAT HANDLES WHATEVER QUESTION I MAY NEED CLARIFIED, IS INVARIABLY GONE FOR THE EVENING OR WEEKEND. Probably A+++ for the very large player or syndicates, but no better than C for the everyday recreational player.
