People have McNabb all wrong. The guy is a flat out winner.
He came into the league and he had to work on his accuracy, so he did. Then he had to stay in the pocket. He did. THEN he had to make players around him better. He did. THEN they gave him the best receiver in the NFL and they went to the Superbowl and happened to run into a dynasty. He's easily the most crapped on player in the NFL since he came into the league and has done nothing short of be exceptional year in and year out, save a few games. He's always been given a bum rap and never did anything wrong other than not win a Superbowl.
To call him mediocre is just dumb. It's the media and fans in Philly that have dogged this guy his whole career. He has done EVERYTHING asked of him, short of winning a Superbowl. He's had crap receivers his whole career, except obviously TO - and now Jackson, who is just a speed guy. He's won with a bunch of nobodies and been to the playoffs MANY times. It's ridiculous to not rate him amongst the best. QBs are judged on wins, and frankly, we've not seen all that many more productive in the W column over his career.
He's HOF material in my book. I'd rather have him than maybe 2 or 3 other guys right now.
The biggest knock on him is that he's probably a lame version of Jim Kelly. Jim Kelly is in the HOF.... And Jim Kelly played with a handfull of HOFrs and arguably all time great players. How many HOF players has McNabb played with? 1, for one year.Comment -
Unfortunately, this is how most of the local diehards feel! But win the Big One and he will be God and hopefully change the attitude! Nothing like seeing your team in the playoffs, guess there is only 1 true winner in the end? Never us though? I love McNabb but over the course of his career he has has numerous chances at being in the "Big Game" and has failed due to some sort of adversity. No doubt Top 3 best of all time but until you cash in on the big game, you can be considered the best of all time.Comment -

The QB is the biggest part of the equation no doubt but they still need a TON of other help to win in the playoffs! If Warren Moon is in the HOF then McNabb should cruise into Canton! Moon had some tremendous talent playing with him in Houston and never made a SB or even a conf. championship that I can remember?
