I noticed at one of my sportsbooks they have a notation next to some games that correlated bets aren't allowed. I often make straight bets on the same game on the spread and the total. This wouldn't be considered correlated would it?

No it wouldn't, correlation can only occur between 2 or more bets in a parlay.

That is what I always thought.I have a system of playing games that I use usually just on TV games that I split or win both bets most times.
