No I don't use models...I just use different angles to determine value. I don't use any computers, but I have to do better than 2-3.

December 15

Gardner Webb +35 (2 units)

Gardner lost to UNC on the road by 21 and I don't think Duke is 14 points better than the Tarheels. I also think Webb can keep it close if they can continue to get turnovers (at least to some degree) they are averaging 10 a game. They are also coming off of 7 days of rest and Duke a mere 2. Blue Devils win by about 25.

Southern Miss -7.5 (2 units)

Bottom line, the Rajun Cajuns have no defense whatsoever. SMU leads in every offensive category and is at home, plus they should have a real advantage on the boards. Southern Miss is also 4-0 ATS this year.

good luck on Gardener Webb.... I can't stomach taking these huge spreads, too much left up to non-competive play time/garbage mins ect in the end.

is it true Gardener has only played 4 games this year? I don't think they are even in game shape yet... dang

They've played 7 games. They are 3-4. They made 15 3-pointers against UNC. Down 4 early.

Oregon State -4.5 (3 units)

UIC is shooting 36.4% from the floor. Nope, that is not a typo. They lost by 21 to DePaul. They are terrible. They are averaging double digit losses. Fade the Flames. Beavers should take care of business on the road.

South Alabama -4.5 (3 units)

The Jaguars are a much better team defensively with about 10 points separating these teams. South Alabama is also better on the glass and holds a decided advantage in the turnover department. Another thing to note is this team is VERY good at home. They are 12-1 SU in their last 13 home games and 4-1 ATS vs. Arkansas Little-Rock in their last 5. This series has been one sided for a long time and I believe it stays that way and am laying the points with South Alabama.

Northwestern -18.5 (1 unit)

North Florida is God awful. They are 1-5 on the year, their only win coming against lowly Savannah State. Northwestern is coming off 11 days rest, is 7-1, playing at home, averaging over 70 points a game, and North Florida has played 4 straight road games. If the spread was a little lower I would make this a 5 unit play, but as it stands at 18-19.5 I'd say it's worth a look as a small wager.

Okay so the horrible Flames won outright, South Alabama couldn't find an answer for Bozeman and my small play won easily. That's the way it goes some nights. 1-2 today, not a good showing.

UC Irvine and Pacific both folded at the end...they covered most of the game. Sad. 1-2 yesterday. Big card today. Here we go...
