    The Heisman curse
we all know the winner has never won a national championship. Do people buy into this or what? I really like alabama in this game but little things like this make me think twice

With all the distractions involved, it is easy to see why Heisman winners don't have the best bowl games. But in this case, Ingram has extremely talented backups. Take the Auburn game...Ingram had an off day. Richardson did a good job.

Weinke lost in the national championship game the same year he won the Heisman.

danny wuerffel of fla in the 96 season, charles woodson of mich in the 97 season, both won heismans and nat'l titles the same yr

hard to believe ingram wont do the same unless texas gets some burst of speed on offense that they havent shown all yr

that was also weinke, but that was the sugar bowl following the '99 season. weinke did not win the heisman in the '99 season, but he did win the bcs championship. the following yr he won the heisman, but lost 13-2 in the bcs championship to a strong defensive minded oklahoma team qb'ed by josh heupel

Ok, thanks Hoopster. I thought he won one and a heisman, just wasn't the same year.

Nebraska's D totally shut the 'Horns and Colt Mccoy down and exposed them for what they are......waaaaaaaaaaay overrated. No reason to expect they'll fair any better against the best D in the nation....
