I was wondering if he had a stroke or something. I wouldn't wish that on him obviously but I needed to beleive he wasn't saucing it during the interview.

He did have one of the best lines though." I'm Cathilic and that isn't a very christian place to play."

I have mixed feelings. I coached youth since I was 19 years old and have always coached my players to play completely but always play with sportsmanship and class. Yet I can understand what a psychological edge it is to go out and intimidate you opponent the way Miami did.

                          great show...
and by no means am I a "U" fan at all.

at the end when they were talking about players being paid for big plays etc...
                          they mentioned Randy Shannon?
is this the same Randy Shannon that coaches now?
                          whats the connection there?

It was a huge mistake by the city and many know it..You do not tear down such a historical landmark.but it was an economic decision..I am never in the area..It is not the best of neighborhoods.

The mystic that place had, the Dolphin and Cane glory years, the super bowls and bowl games will never ever ever be replaced in the fins new home..Its really Joe Robbie Stadium..He built it..But when his son sold it after his death, the name is up for bids every few years..guess now they call it landshark or something............Orange Bowl also had many concerts, boxing and soccer..I watched the Miami Toros play there in the 70s before they moved to Lockhart stadium and became the Ft Lauderdale Strikers..I think Aaron Pryer had some bifg fights in the Orange Bowl

I will miss her greatly..She was great to Miami and s Florida in general

do the Dolphins and the Canes share a stadium still?
if so how can a university bringing in tons of money not build their own?

                                        What a great piece.

Back in the day I was a huge Cane fan. I wore the Miami Hurricanes sweatshirt for a couple of photo shoots in my senior High School pictures portfolio.

Am I the only one who believes the Canes who spoke on the piece benefitted by matriculating through the classroom doors of the campus? None of them seem like young punks now.

Jimmie Johnson should thank his lucky stars Howard Schnellenberger was dumb enough to leave that job after the upset over Nebraska. One of the dumbest moves of all time. And to the USFL! And his employer ended up not getting a team.

I enjoyed that show more than maybe any other football related documentary I've ever seen. My Dad's been a fan of UM since the 80's, and now I see why. They channeled the power of the game better than any team I've ever heard about. It would be fun to root for players that fought that hard.
