What is that? Never heard of it. Some sort of consolation parlay?

Yes, consolation, ha ha. Not exactly the word I would use. 5Dimes does it. I'm sure some other books have it also. Hitting 7 out of 8 or 6 out of 8 isn't bad. The multichance parlays have slightly lower payouts but are still profitable. Just look at what 5Dime does or look it up on the internet for the charts and payouts.

MultiChance Parlays - A MultiChance Parlay is similar to a Progressive Parlay, as you may still win with incorrect selections. However, the payouts do not increase with more correct selections. Once the minimum amount of correct selections have been won, the Multichance play will be a winner.
Winnings from a MultiChance plays are not credited to an account until all selections made have a result. Multichance plays will not be credited before all selections have concluded (even if the wager is already a winner). When selections have not concluded, you must make use of RIF (rolling-if-bet) wagering options in order to use winnings or potential winnings from this wagering option.
MultiChance Parlays are available on the internet only. This option is not available for phone wagering.

        Justin,

When you have a chance, I'd like to hear what you think about these in reference to actual odds/payout odds, disadvantage, etc.

          Justin,

Especially on the standpoint of just trying to hit 50% to win. The payout odds are:

          4 teams with 2 incorrect -275
          6 teams with 3 incorrect -235
          8 teams with 4 incorrect -215
          10 teams with 5 incorrect -200
          12 teams with 6 incorrect -190
          14 teams with 7 incorrect -180

Using the example of 10 teams, if you get 5 correct you win (risking 200 to win 100).

On the opposit end, one could- instead of risking 200 to win 100, place 10 straight wagers of 20 to win 18.18.

          If he were to get:

          0 correct = -200
          1 correct, then 18.18 minus 180 = -161.82
          2 correct, then 36.36 minus 160 = -123.64
          3 correct, then 54.54 minus 140 = -85.46
          4 correct, then 72.72 minus 120 = -47.28
          5 correct, then 90.90 minus 100 = -9.10
          6 correct, then 109.08 minus 80 = +29.08
          7 correct, then 127.26 minus 60 = +67.26
          8 correct, then 145.44 minus 40 = +105.44
          9 correct, then 163.62 minus 20 = +143.62
          10 correct = +181.80

If one is a consistent 54% bettor, could this be advantageous? Of course, we'd have to figure out how many times would the bettor win only 4 or less out of 10, as you get slammed at the -200 compared to a lot less if you did straight wagers, and the (missed out) winnings of not doing straights when you have 8, 9, or all 10 correct.

Just doing a simple 20% for each 3,4,5,6 and 7 wins, to do this quickly....

If we did this in 100 instances:

              3 correct, then 54.54 minus 140 = -85.46 x 20 = -1709.20
              4 correct, then 72.72 minus 120 = -47.28 x 20 = -945.60
              5 correct, then 90.90 minus 100 = -9.10 x 20 = -182.00
              6 correct, then 109.08 minus 80 = +29.08 x 20 = +581.60
              7 correct, then 127.26 minus 60 = +67.26 x 20 = +1345.20

              -2836.80 + 1926.80 = -910.00 doing separate straight wagers

              40 times lost 200 = -8000
              60 times won 100 = +6000
              -2000 doing the multichance parlay

Should of known, if it was advantageous for us they wouldn't offer it.

But still an option for the action junkie on the weekend

20% each is probably not a good percentage across the board to use.

I'd like to hear Justin's opinions on this.

One could argue and say its a lot easier to win $100 by picking just 5 winners out of 10, instead of having to win 8 of the 10 straight wagers to make $105.44. But of course the chance of losing the entire $200 risked is much, much higher.

                  10 straight wager , risking 20/18.18.

I like them when college football season was going strong I could consistently hit 10 of 15. Would be a nice addition as stated.

Don't know if they offer 1H and 2H lines but I think they do. As stated 5Dimes definitely offers this.
