I am not going to discount there work ethic. The illegal allien Mexican is a hard working individual. I just don't believe they should be getting citizen benefits without paying in to the system. As far as your "some are thieves" comment goes, that would apply to any race/country/etc...I'm in an industry where we also have many Mexican customers. In the past 10 years, of the 200 or so bad checks we've received, every one of them came from an American...I've never had a Mexican write a bad check or try to steal from me in any way. I've given many of them thousands of dollars in credit, and allowed one guy in particular to take $10,000 in equipment to use in his business and pay me $500 a month for the next 20 months. He never once missed a payment. I've watched many of our Mexican customers over the past 10 years go from showing up at our store speaking no English and having nothing but the shirt on their back after crossing the desert, now find themselves completely bi-lingual, own businesses, own homes, own land, etc...in 10 years time. It is absolutely remarkable.

And again, I stand by my Social Security theory. Without them, none of us in our 20's and 30's will ever receive a penny back on our investment, since the SSA will be bankrupted by the baby boomers. But like I said, when all of the second generation Mexicans, who are now children, grow up and get jobs, the SSA will be saved. The Mexicans have pretty much supported our country's growth for the past 10-15 years and will continue to sustain it for quite some time.

Illegal immigrants (namely Mexicans)

This country was founded and built by immigrants. As a proud employer of one full-time and one part-time illegal alien for more than 5 years, I can confidently say that I've never encountered two more honest, reliable, and trustworthy guys in my entire life. They are the epitome of the American Dream. One has not seen his family or two 6 year old twin daughters since they were infants. He sends more than half of his wages home each week, and supports his entire extended family, providing them with food, housing, and schooling. He is the first to arrive at work every day, and the last to leave. And my own personal theory on the whole matter, which will be revealed as true over the next 30 years, is that the second generation of illegal immigrants (mostly from Mexico) will single-handedly save Social Security. As this entire 'first' generation of illegals have children, those children will be born legal U.S. citizens. As they come of age and enter the work-force with the same zeal to achieve and work hard toward success as their parents, their TAXABLE wages will save Social Security as we know it, which will inevitably go bankrupt otherwise.

Man, I am in no way disagreeing with you. Mexican's as a group are good people and your argument about there children bailing out SS has some good logic to it. My problem is this... Not all of them are like the ones you associate with. And true while all races have there problems we don't need illegal's causing more strain and strife to an already fukked sysytem. I too know some very good Mexican people. They are some of the finest people I have ever met. With there dillegence and work ethic they most likely will take over the U.S. in the future. Well, I am a liberal out of the conscious decision to embrace what is good. Embrace what is right, and give up what was wrongfully proprieted by my evil people. I believe everyone has a right to do what the want in life, and expand and breathe, and be happy and to live and learn. I'll bite on answering why I'm Liberal though:



I'm a supporter of progressing society forward as we discover more about the world around us and new considerations about how society should function are found. Liberalism has always been at the forefront of civil rights because it revolves around constantly transforming society towards a more egalitarian state. I'm against Affirmative Action seeing it as simply a means of a few people trying to exploit their past civil rights glory and give extra benefits to racial minorities.

I'm for gay marriage because I acknowledge marriage has indeed gone through many transitions throughout the centuries, from what it was originally used for [Pre-arranged marriages that benefited families socially and financially] to its more contemporary means of love and, if chosen to, start a family. I'm fine with any consenting adults getting married to each other.


On economic issues, it depends on the topic.


On international policy, I reject the more liberal-leaning Wilsonian Idealist approach used by George W. Bush and Barack Obama in favor of Realpolitick. As a result, I was against the Iraq War and am starting to resent the Afghanistan War that lost its true purpose a long time ago.

The constitution is just another manmade piece of paper that has lost its value after hundreds of years because of evolution of mankind. What worked 250 years ago doesn’t necessarily work now.

You are somewhat on the right track. We shouldn't just totally ignore the Constitution, it has its value. However, even the Founding Fathers found times when they had to skirt around the Constitution for practical reasons. This is why a strict constructionist interpretation ultimately fails, even the people who wrote and signed the document realized it revolved around interpretation and had to evolve over time. Our sense of what "Free Speech" is today is different from what it was in the 18th century.

Illegal immigrants committing acts of violence shouldn't really be a reason to be against illegal immigration. Anyone, regardless of race or citizenship status, can commit acts of violence. There are illegal immigrants who are very peaceful people who want to just find a better life style in a better country.



We should, however, start enforcing our illegal immigrant laws. This includes cracking down on businesses that exploit and enable illegal immigrants by encouraging labor for low wages which hurts jobs for regular Americans who are more likely to enforce the minimum wage laws through legal action.
