I want to know how much you are up are down for the year. Include casino, poker and sports betting. I am down about $1800 for the year. I was up as of July but fell off after football season.

Between 12 to 14 units? This betting crap is an experiment with me that isn't going that well! Was hoping to get it going to start betting some big amounts. Doesn't look like that might ever happen? Kinda of look at it as payment for PT entertainment!

Here's where all the "sharps" come in and tell you how amazing they're doing.

I am even on the year, give or take 50 bucks.

This thread should be verrrrry interesting.

In my "What do you do for a living" thread, we had a fair amount of people saying they support themselves with their gambling... which many (including me) remain very skeptical about.

So let's see what they post in here. No way to tell of course if they are bullsh-tting, but I'm guessing they would *have* to be up anywhere from 30k up for that to be true.

Me personally... down about 3k from casino trips. Even with sports betting.

+$4,700 ... a result of a 10-0 week in the Carib NFL contest ... or it could have been 0-10 ... I'll never tell.

I'm up just under $30K for 2009. Gains have been increasing through the year, and I had a blowout November. December is a slow start so far, but I'm hoping that turns around this week.

i just don't get it. i know this thread wasn't intended for a professional but i am going to rant a bit....why would professionals say how much they make in a year? what other profession do you constantly ask people "how much do you make"?

Drive Thru fast food.. ask how much they make?
                                  A plumber?
                                  Sheriff?
                                  Lawyer?

Noone asks anyone how much they make because it is not a proper question and can be disrespectful. So why do "people" think it is ok to ask a handicapper, poker player or any other advantage gambler how much they make?

The way I look at it, some people wonder if it is possible to make a living doing this, and they are curious if so, what kind of living. I know before I started doing this seriously I wondered the same things. That's why I don't mind answering an otherwise obnoxious question.

                                                Sheriff?
                                                Lawyer?

Noone asks anyone how much they make because it is not a proper question and can be disrespectful. So why do "people" think it is ok to ask a handicapper, poker player or any other advantage gambler how much they make?

Are you coming on to me?

Nope, not $30k for a year. I worked full time through June of this year. I only started pushing this forward after that (and after a little time kicking back on my severance package). I would say that I got up to full speed in October of this year, and have been paying the bills with gambling ever since.
