Yes! The BEST $3500 we spent when we built our house was the difference between a pre-fab job and a real brick fireplace. We've been in our house for 13 years, and enjoy that real brick fireplace every winter. (and it doesn't even get that cold here in SC but my wife really enjoys a nice fire!)

Hope your green freak neighbor loses his electricity and freezes his ass off this winter!
