The D-backs wound up with pitchers Edwin Jackson and Ian Kennedy, and the Tigers collected pitchers Max Scherzer and Daniel Schlereth from Arizona and outfielder Austin Jackson and left-hander Phil Coke from New York.
MLB three way deal with the Yanks, Diamondbacks and Tigers.

#10Shouldn't really be news to any Tigers fan, we all knew this was going to happen. The season ticket holders should dip below 10K this year, and 600K less people went to the ballpark last year than in '08 even though our team was competitive.
Not upset getting Scherzer and Schlereth for Jackson. He pitched out of his mind last year and they are selling him when his stock at it's peak. Breaks my heart to see 28-Grand go to the Bronx for their top prospect (A. Jackson) who is basically a Granderson clone and their 8th best prospect (Coke). He was probably my favorite player on the Tigers.

#11Yanks are retarded if they do it.
"Why?" you ask.
Grandy may hit 30 dingers in that short right field, fine I'll give you that.
That fukker goes on a slump and he kills the Tigers. He will strike out and not move guys in scoring position.
Anybody who knows Grandy knows that guy runs down fly balls better than anybody.
Henceforth, the reason why he was so awesome in that huge center field in Comerica.
Yankee center field is tiny.
Yanks don't need a Grandy to jog after flies, anybody can do that in Yankee Stadium.
Yanks could use a guy that can rifle runners scoring on sac flies.
Granderson kind of throws like a girl- no arm. (Watch both his feet leave the ground when he throws)
Tigers get Scherzer(However, young shoulder may be a risk)
This guy racks up K's
The other 3, just prospects, and I don't know about them. From what I know, they will probably make a home in minor league ball
D-Backs get Edwin Jackson- I say a little risky.
Thanks to a very good pitching coach in Detroit, Edwin finally developed a technique to win a little.
I noticed he had to be pulled out a lot in the last 1/2, and he lacked consistency.
Honestly, I knew Edwin Jackson had all star potential when I watched him in Tampa.
Many times, in Tampa, Edwin would get ahead (0-2, 1-2 counts) and give up a hit. - lack of technique
I don't know if I trust pitching coach in Phoenix. Worse bully In baseball.
Coaching Brandon Webb, and Dan Haren isn't re-inventing the wheel, either.
Tell Webb and Haren to throw heat for 7+. - Whoa! real tough coaching!!!!
But Edwin as a 3 or 4 in the rotation as opposed to a 2, in Detroit, might be a good fit.
No real winner- here.
If I had to say, I would go with the Tigers.
Remember, Tigers doing it for the money.
Az finishes second. Edwin as a 3 or 4- good. Ian Kennedy has good stats, in the minors, might pan out.
Yankees don't get better.
Granderson is highly misplaced.
Good ballplayer, but he flourishes in a big outfield. Not tiny Yankee stadium.
But Yanks can afford to pay bad contracts and unused talent.
They do it all the time.
I'll say the Yanks really don't get worse, but they did not get better.
Tiger fans will definitely miss Grandy making those spectacular run down catches. Baseball fans will miss it.Comment
