Torn, Conflicted, Confused w/BCS Championship game
Have you ever had to pull against your alma mater or favorite team in order to win money? Well, I am a Bama grad, living in Auburn, holding a Texas future. I don't think I will be betting on the game. If Bama wins I am happy, if Texas wins I am richer. Bummer.

If you have a future on Texas it is obviously at a +value. You can easily lay the amount of the future on Bama resulting in a push of minimal win. Eliminates the chance of a huge payoff but Bama will do that to Texas anyways.

Take a second mortgage and unload on Bama fiercely.

mmike, I drew a blank on the term hedge. LOL. That was what I was telling him to do but I absolutely could not get my head around the word. I knew it just couldn't get it out. Thanks for simplifying it.

                you can't buy championships

you can always bet another game

that's the way I feel about it

if Texas wins that is great, if Alabama wins congratulations to them for a fine season

I try not to worry about things I can't control, I don't really care all that much about the +800, but I bet A&M about as heavy as I could and had a lot on Nebraska as well. I was young when the Longhorns went through some tough times in the W column, so as a fan I try to enjoy these years as much as possible.

                best of luck

Anybody holding a Bama 20-1 future from the start of the season?

I looked at it, since it was first in alphabetical order, said to myself, "New QB, best two linemen left, Ole Miss is better, playing in the SEC, must beat Florida, no way they go undefeated". Fukk me.

Just in case Bama goes awry I have something to fall back on. Go Bama.
