just read that there is a possibility that Jermaine Dixon is back for this game... which I didn't anticipate for another 2 weeks at least...

but honestly I don't think that helps them at this point...

fade Pitt until mid jan 2010 and then when dixon and Brown are back and are back into the chemistry and flow..... take Pitt often with a grain of salt

are you thinking of the last game vs nh were no one could shoot SS, or do you really think the under is strong? the Pitt D is no where near as strong as usual.....

and they are 1-2 O/U this year.....

so i'm torn

I hate taking Unders because of the fouling at the end and the possibility of OT, but this line stuck out when I first saw it. I thought it would be 126 or lower.

Under is the play here. Not many people caught it because the game wasn't lined but Pitt led 15-7 at half in there last game. This defense is still tough and Indiana will be held to under 60 points. This is a 64-58 type game. Neither side really holds much value. Small lean to Pitt large lean to under.

even the pittsburgh coach and 2 members of the team admitted that defense had nothing to do with the 15-7 halftime score of the last game.....

I know that for sure, it was just clank clank clank clank clank....... and amazing demonstrating of offensive ineptitude..... don't rely on the #'s is you didn't watch this game folks

I guess i'm just saying guys like ashton gibbs can be 6-8 from 3 just as easily (actually more so) than they can be 1-9.... so beware of pittsburgh sharp shooting and Indy gives up alot of points...

they are 3-0 O/U this year as well

Relax buddy. Sure both teams were cold. But, Panthers defense played great. How do I know? I listened to the game. Panthers made them settle for a ton of contested shot and every game I watched this year the defense impressed me except the 2nd half of the Texas game but Texas is on another level. I will put points down Indiana goes under 60 points. Pitt's offense isn't much they don't really have a go to guy this year.

Both teams will come out tight playing in The Garden. I highly doubt there will be many fans there either, not that it matters.

Your basing your O/U numbers on 3 games though. They are averaging 52 ppg against teams that don't rhyme with Hexas. Indiana has no offensive fire power. Sure IU has put up decent point totals but they haven't played a defensive minded team yet like Pittsburgh.

Not to mention the rims at the garden are notoriously tough to shoot on. The deep backdrop behind the basket has been said to be real tough on a lot of these kids early in the game. Not saying it will make a huge difference but just trying to support the under for arguments sake.

I watched the Pitt v NH game, one of the most excruciating experiences of my life..... it wasn't about D that is for sure

Indiana gives up 67 points a game to teams like boston, howard, northwestern, south carolina-upstate

Indiana is BAD, they are 1-23 last 2 years against BCS teams, only win being against Iowa

They will not win game, line moved towards Pitt and is -8 now

I would lean towards the under, but I don't think it's a strong play. Because of their lack of talent, Crean really has Indiana pushing the pace to try to get easy buckets in transition versus setting up their offense.

I also think under is the play in regards to the total, but would also say that Pitt's defense isn't that great this year. They just don't have the scoring threats they had the past few years, and IU is not the team to take advantage of their defense. IU program is still in terrible shape and although I think they can hang and cover in this one, they will not do it with their offense.

Strongly disagree. Pitt has played excellent defensively, and you'd be hard pressed to find anything to refute that.
