Tenn came off a bye week and Bama's Defense the week before played 89 snaps against south carolina, they were exausted, rolando said he didnt get his legs back untill thur before Tenn. Auburn was simply overlooked and it almost cost Bama the game. That mistake will not happen again. Bama was preparing for Fla. the week of UTC. auburn was coming off a BYe week and it was a short week for Bama due to thanksgiving.

Georgia is playing Texas AM and Georgia beat Auburn. Georgia is only a 7 point fav.

Texas ran into a great defensive team with sometimes limited ability to move the ball. They had a bad game like Florida did in the SEC final. It happens.

The question is what kind of talent does Texas have? Do they have the talent to destroy Alabama? ABSOLUTELY. Does Alabama have the talent to destroy Texas? ABSOLUTELY. Both teams have top notch talent.

I give the coaching edge to Saban. I think Texas will at least cover and maybe win the game.

Moonpie up until about 5 days ago my avatar was the Georgia Bulldawg logo. I live in the southeast and have been a bulldawg season ticket holder for 15 years. I watch the SEC teams every week of every year. I know them up and down like the back of my hand. I live in the bible belt.

Just look how South Carolina beat up clemson, and GT lost to Georgia.....Two teams that played in the ACC championship lost to middle of the pack SEC teams. The top tier teams in the SEC is like the minor leagues to the NFL.

I watched Texas all year come out flat against teams like UCF and Wyoming. Then when push came to shove they couldnt do dick against Oklahoma in the cotton bowl offensively for MOST of the game. Bradford looked sharp when he came out, they only won that game because Landry Jones couldnt do anything. Oklahoma knocked colt on his ass every play if they didnt get the sack. What do you think Texas will do when Arenas and McClain shoot off the side on a double blitz? What are they going to do when Jordan Shipley gets shut down by Arenas?

McElroy has all the confidence in the world now. Even if he doesnt show up, they will run the ball down their throat. Texas was better last year and didnt get into the National Championship and then won in a close game to a subpar Ohio St. squad.

Texas is so out of their league in this game its not even funny. The REAL championship was last saturday, Florida #1 v. Bama #2.....Florida at number 5 just shows what a joke this whole system is.

Wile, I get what you are saying in regards to the recruiting stats. But that is a lot like NFL draft picks. Just cause a player is listed high doesn't mean the performance is there. Shoot, look at Cory Reamer on Bama's defense. Nick Saban said coming in that he didn't think Reamer would ever play. But the kid worked hard and now he is a started. Look at all the walk ons. Some of those highly touted recruits end up not being able to deal with the academics. That said, I expect it to be a hard hitting, exciting game.
