I am ready to but an IPhone ,or,should I go Droid ?

Stepdad just got the Droid..its incredible...Tough choice...depends what your usage is for it.

I'm personally picking up the Eris by verizon because its 100 bux cheaper than the droid. It runs android 1.5 Operating System, but i can upgrade it to 2.0 in like 2 months. About the only difference.

I am on my 2nd iPhone, and I would recommend it all the way. The new 3GS is amazing. I have had no complications or issues. Much faster than the older iPhones.

The Apple phones are almost perfect in every way, BUT the quality of the audio in phone conversations is ofter bad, and the dropped calls are a killer.

Just recently like 2 months ago I purchased the iPhone for work.
So far it has worked very well with SBR applications.

Okay boys and girls ,I went to a Verizon store to check out the DROID .
I spent about 15 minutes attempting to try and interested in that little bugger .

Bottom line is ,I failed the test !
How can a grown man ,without making numerous mistakes,actually type with those "midget" keys ,especially if you are a FISHEAD type ?
If you try to punch in a wager at close to post ,I'm afraid a lot of men would have a nervous breakdown just fiddling around with those little bitty keys .

I am afraid I was not impressed,and the Blackberry's even had smaller keys .

Where do I go now ?

Also ,trying to type a post on SBR ,would seem to be like digging ditches with your fingers .

I keep hearing you guys bitch and moan about ATT with the iphones, where the fvck do you guys live? in a mudhut in north dakota? Ive been a ATT/Cingular user for the past 7 years, i think in that time-span Ive maybe had 2 drop calls lifetime. Never had 1 dropped call on the iphone and the clarity is clearer than the house phone.

They just had the service "test" if you will. Verizon won by a longshot. Way better service. Their PHONES...keep that in mind. Verizon is way better at being a PHONE...and the droid is added what the iphone has...why not go with verizon?

Side by side the Iphone outperformed any verizon phone i ever put mine to test vs, try loading the sbr main page on a blackberry storm........you could prab jerk it faster than the storm would load it up.

I would have to grown my fingernails out to at least a 1/2 inch long in order to keep the mistakes down .

Well i got my phone to make calls...not to load SBR's pages. Different uses for the phone i guess. I've personally used an iphone and a droid. With all the apps now for the droid, i'd take the droid.

Fingernails are bad for the iphone, the touch screen is heat sensitive you cant touch it with a stick to type in, your fingernails wont work. It takes about a week to get used to the texting. As far as web browsing goes you double click on the screen anywhere to zoom in, then those tiny buttons will become much bigger. And when you click a text box, as where youd enter a $ amount or a password the screen becomes bigger. You'll get used to it man. Its cake

Abe, I have an iPhone and I love it. It's a great phone with a ton of flexibility and room to grow. The apps, ease of use, and "cool" factor are second to none. With that said, the Droid is capable of a lot too with open expansion and being a newer device. It will never catch up in the accesories market nor will it be as widely compatible with add ons. I'm sure either one would be awesome, but I can only recommend the iPhone from personal use.

Ive played with the bold, the curve, the storm, G1, instinct, and a buncha verizon phones. Nothing has even come close to iphone. The first gen iphone is better than any other phone out there then the Nokia smart phone. Its like they say the people who talk shit about the iphone have never had 1.

Sbe dont stress its completely speculation on all accounts from my expirience no verizon phone has ever loaded faster than my iphone, nor is the internet even close to the iphones( in terms of being the same as actual internet u get on your pc), gl in watever decision u make

I've had the Droid for a few weeks. I love it, but it comes with the full array of early-adopter glitches and annoyances.

The web browser is almost exactly the same as iPhone, only missing pinch-to-zoom. The wifi sucks big-time, but will probably be fixed in one of the next updates (month or two). Free Google Navigation is fantastic, I never even use my Garmin any more. The applications are inferior to the iPhone's and will probably continue to be for awhile. The physical keyboard sucks (as you noticed) but it's better than no keyboard (iPhone). Screen is fantastic.

That's all I got. I'd recommend the iPhone for most people.
