Monday night wars look like they will return in the wrestling world
TNA is looking to go live on Monday nights with Hogan on their roster. Should still be hard to compete, but we might see the best possible action from both sides for a while.

From Dave Meltzer's Wrestling Observer site:

TNA announced last night on the UFC show that Hulk Hogan's debut would be on a three-hour live Impact special from Orlando airing on a Monday night, 1/4. That show will also be replayed on Thursday night from 8-11 p.m. that week. The original idea was a two hour special from 8-10 p.m., figuring they'd get the first hour jump on Raw. However, they figured WWE would counter by going to USA and asking for a third hour that night, so they may as well go all three. We'll see if WWE responds. It's right now a onetime experiment but if the ratings are significantly up from normal, it would likely lead to going live Mondays every week.

This is big news for wrestling fans.

Even though it is questionable at best as a sport there is still lots of entertainment to be had.

Any competition for or against the WWE is a good thing, maybe they will once again put out a A+ product.

It's been a lull, JJ. Just not the same star power right now.

Very true, ryan. When WWF and the WCW/NWA were competing it only brought the best out for each. You wanted to keep tuning in every week wondering what big match or angle would be happening. The PPV events also got better in quality.

                TNA will get destroyed.

I should point out though that this is a one time Monday Night, they aren't permanently moving there.

Yes- they will ultimately get destroyed unless they can sign even more talent.

Thing is, they mostly leach off former WWE stars, mostly those who were already main eventers and past their prime [Christian was a notable exception]. Reminds me of another wrestling organization in the mid-90s.

Yeah, Hotdiggity. Just like the Hogan signing, they will end up shelling out for other nostalgia past their prime.

I guess WWE will end up buying TNA like they did WCW and ECW once they are in bad shape and cannot compete.
