What do these schools have in common?
Group A (11): Tenn Tech, Charleston Southern, S Car St, E Ky, W Car, S E La, N Ariz, Chattanooga, Jackson St, Missouri St, Furman

Group B1 ( 20 ) : FIU(2), W Ky, Ohio, Memp(2), FAU, Mia Ohio, La Monroe, Rice, Army, UAB, N Tex, MTSU, E Mich, La Laf, Tulane, La Tech(2), Ball St

    Group B2 (3) : Troy(2 ) , Houston

Group C (14) : Okla St , Ariz St, Ga Tech(3) , FSU, UCLA, N C St, Clem, Louisville, Va Tech, Tex AM, Wash, WVU

Answer: The non-conference opponents of the SEC.

    A: FCS
    B1 : non BCS conf Div 1
    B2 : Same a B1 - better teams ( maybe LaTech belongs here)
    C : BCS conf

My feeling is the exalted conference should be playing fewer FCS and Sunbelt opponents and more teams from other BCS confs.

Ga played 3 from group C (very good). That leaves 11 games among the other 11 teams. Miss played 0 and S Car played 2. 1 each for the other 9 teams.

Miss played 2 FCS opponents. Only Tenn and LSU played none.

I know what some of you SEC fans will say, but I would be more convinced that this conference is as good as advertised if they were tested more in their non-conf games.

Exactly half of their 48 non conf games were against FCS, Sunbelt, MAC, and Army .... what a shame when we think of how many more interesting and competitive games there could be.

    smaller schools need their money.

SEC teams have plenty on their plate...instead of wanting them to play "tougher" games... how about first getting the Big 10 and Pac 10 to have Championship games so their "top" team has a chance to lose to a high quality team instead of bypassing and going right to the BCS champ game.

Outside of Ohio State, Big Ten teams love to play a soft non-conference schedule...Pac 10 seems to like to play tougher pre-season games... and they had the top six or seven teams of any conference in my opinion.

def have to give the pac 10 credit for their out of conference schedule where they play good/avg teams instead of cupcakes.. but for the most part still teams they should beat.

        UGA beat Ga Tech
        South Carolina beat Clemson

Average SEC schools played and won against both teams in the ACC Champ. the following week.
