Does anyone do this? What I mean is look at where the majority of the public is betting and then jump on the other side... Do you think it would be a successful way to bet if you did it 100% of the time over the long term?

#4If correct, any theories as to why? I guess one thoery is that vegas knows better than the average punter. It raises another possibility, teams tanking in exchange for backhanders from vegas.Comment -

#6Vegas Ideal percentage is 50/50 on each game. That way they earn risk free money off of the vig. So they move the line accordingly.Comment -

#14IT DON'T ALWAYS WORK. Even today.
over 90% was on Cleveland Cavs, and they covered.
over 90% was on New York Knicks, and they covered.
Everyone had the over for KC/Den and it went over.
but yeah, the oddsmakers are just sharper than us (brrpt)blog '09-'10: 37-16: +$31,900

#15anyway, how come Mods can have 70 accounts and we aren't allowed to ghost. Like a Noob is gonna come in and start posting a bunch of relevant threads. No noob is gonna have the sack to just start posting new threads. Well maybe. Its a longshot though. And no noob is gonna promote SBR casino. But it's cool guys, thanks for the pizzas. from, Celatinous Gube.blog '09-'10: 37-16: +$31,900
