The Bears suck, Panthers went in there with their heads up their butts, but the Bears are just an average football team with a good defenseand record that is not an indication of what kind of team they really are, which medicore at best!

What are you guys smoking? The Bears give up 11pts/game but are overrated.

They are the #1 Defense in the NFL. #2 in Ints, #4 in sacks and #1 in yards against.

When you give up only 11 points you have a great chance to win any game.

Agreed raiders. We are talking about a team that is not going to be blown out of any games because of their defense (best since at least Ravens from 5? years ago). They could easily be 10-0, or at least 9-1. The Cincy loss was very misleading, as Orton threw 5 picks which led to almost all the Bengals points, and he has matured to the point where that would not happen if they played again. They were winning against the Browns late - of course I had the Bears +3.5 against Cleveland, and up by four with 2+ minutes left, they still manage not to cover - and could have easily won that game. I don't remember the Redskins game really, but they lost by 2, so you would think the game was winnable.

There's no way the Bears are overrated. With a defense like that, you can do anything you want to and beat anybody you want to. Sure, they may not score 20 points for the rest of the season, but if they keep holding their opponents to 10 points or less, they're going to win a lot more games.

They aren't flashy, but they win. That's the bottom line. Respect.

they've got a good defense i will say that. but, that weak division they play in, sure don't hurt at all either. but, they still have to play the packers twice, which is a big rivalery still (according to some people). not to mention they have to play TB,Pitt,ATL,and Minny. i still say minny has got a damn good shot of winning that division.

on a side note... congrats raiders on your O/U season bet on chicago bud.

If the Bears were overrated, they would not have been 3-point home dogs this Sunday and bet against at a 3-to-1 clip.

You are right, they are the worst 7-3 team (with the best defense) in NFL history. A few weeks ago the NFC North division winner wasn't supposed to finish at .500

Heer's a clue, if those other teams were better than the Bears they would have scored more points to defeat them. Any team can win on any given Sunday, so I don't wanna here woulda coulda shoulda. They are where they are, deal with it. This sorry ass argument happens every year and the team in question always seems to make the Super Bowl.

Does it matter if they barely beat somebody? Green Bay has been barely beaten in most of their games this season. Does that make them good? For everything the Bears lack on offense, their defense more than makes up for it. Wouldn't surprise me at all to see them in the NFC Championship. They are a carbon copy of the 2000 Baltimore Ravens. If Orton can limit his mistakes and they can run the ball, they'll score 17-20 points a game and their defense won't allow their opponent more than 14 points. That's a proven recipe for success in the NFL.
