deuce, my hand to GOD, i was just about to make a thread as we speak about how this is going to be a very very sad day at the santoro residence. i will have my box of kleenex ready for this.. they are going to be showing highlights of the 100 yr annviversary to the day.. bringing back Lafleur i hope, and all the memories.. i grew up watching this team as a kid and have lots of fond memories and today will be great.

I grew up a huge Habs fan. I had the Yvan Cournoyer posters on my wall. My brother had Ken Dryden. When the playoffs were on, they were often my first thought when I woke up in the morning. I lived and died with them.
I have since become one of these cynical heartless bastards who doesn't have favorite teams. But there is no denying they provided many, many thrills to my young life. A lot of thrills and a lot of winning. They will always have a special place in my heart for that.Comment -

suprisingly, lots of habs were not there. i can name like 150 that were not there, including chelios, denis savard and many more, including my childhood best friend, sergio momesso.. i am so pissed he wasn't there. he was big here in the mid to late 80's.. i am going to call him this week and ask him why he wasn't there, or maybe i will make him feel shit if i ask him, since he wasn't invited.Comment -
