I read a study recently which said that gambling affects the level of saratonin in one's system, which subsequently has an adverse impact on sex drives. Has anyone found that to be true? I've gambled, handicapped, etc. for the better part of three decades, and I can honestly say when I'm in the midst of a lot of action that my desire to be involved in anything but the action goes way down. I've watched game in and game out, every miracle card pull imaginable, and every horse scenario alive, but still just love the action. My sex drive I'm sure does go down as a result, but it's not something you realize off the bat. Those under say thirty might not be as affected, but I could be wrong.
I've had a lot of great things happen to me in this lifetime as a result of gambling (trips, free time, etc.), but losing a spouse, losing time with family you'll never get back, not having "office picnics," and knowing that you contribute nothing to the overall good of society are certainly downsides to the lifestyle....
