NFL Week 13: Peter Loshak Previews with Al McMordie

SBR.tv’s Peter Loshak and industry vet Big Al McMordie continue their weekly betting previews in the NFL with Week 13, and also take a look back at a couple of notable lines from Week 12.

Atlanta is a 5.5-point home dog to Philadelphia in a game with big playoff implications. The Falcons will be missing starting QB Matt Ryan, but his replacement Chris Redman played serviceably last week, and it’s a few other injuries on offense that have Al and Loshak more concerned. Still, the Falcons have an outstanding record at home in the Georgia Dome, and the Eagles have a few weapons on offense sidelined as well.

The New England/Miami game presents some interesting betting lines that have had some curious movement. Miami is 5-0 to the over at home this year, and the two times the Pats and Dolphins met in Miami the last two years the games have gone to 76 and 77, respectively, which has Loshak wondering if a play on the over is warranted, or if it’s too obvious and too easy. Interestingly, during the taping of the video, the lines on the game took a big hit, with the total diving from 46 to 44, and the Pats going from -5 to -3.

New Orleans is coming off of their impressive Monday night home blowout over New England, and go into Washington as a 9.5-point road fave over the Redskins. As awesomely dominant as the Saints have been this year, and as injury-riddled as the Redskins are, there have been rumblings that Washington is the side with value here. Well-respected SBR poster The Seer started a thread giving that opinion soon after the Monday night game, and McMordie chimes in with his reaction.

The Giants have lost 6 in a row ATS, and the money is starting to fade them, as their line has moved from a 1-point fave on opening to almost a 3-point dog to visiting Dallas. In the beginning of the year, the Giants were playing well, reminiscent of their Super Bowl form, and they actually went into Dallas and beat the Cowboys in the first game in their new stadium. Dallas will be looking for payback, and the skidding Giants are vulnerable here, playing out of sync and dealing with some injuries to key players on offense. Loshak and McMordie discuss the situation and come to different conclusions on the line.

Undefeated Indianapolis is a 6.5-point home fave over Tennessee, who has won 5 in a row since their bye after losing their first 6 games of the season. The Colts have been pulling out close wins recently, and Big Al gives a lean on this game based partly on a technical factor involving dominant teams late in the season.

You guys forgot this is Michael Vick return game. The house will be on fire and Atlanta wins outright. Also Redman is better than Ryan and a healthy Norwood and Snelling are an upgrade for Falcons. Only reason Tampa went up last week was because Turner played hurt and shouldn't have started. Also Gonzalez is playing lights out and Eagles can't cover tight ends. Next time interview someone who knows something about the teams they are talking about.

N.E blows Miami out this week, and scores 34 by themselves. I love the over in this game, and the good news is that it is not included in my fade me selections. Take N.E and the over in a parlay if allowed and then double up on Min and the over in the Sunday night game for some Christmas cash that you'll be needing for your girlfriends necklace.

Way to be ambiguous in your explanation.

"She didnt want to do certain things."
