How is Dave Dombrowski still GM of the Tigers?
I know many probably don't give a fukk but just venting. He turned a team that went to the WS in 06 into a disaster real quick.

Take a gander at these contracts...

    Bonderman-$12,500,000
    Robertson-$7,000,000
    Willis-$10,000,000
    Ordonez-$18,971,596
    Guillen-$10,000,000

    =$58,000,000

Not to mention Jaque Jones, Gary Shefield, and Edgar Renteria.

All of the above are horrid contracts that should never have been implemented. I can't even believe the money those bums are all making and because Detroit as a whole can't get it's head out of it's ass. These bums are the reason Granderson is being shopped, Placido is gone, and Jackson is on the table. Dombrowski's poor decisions buried this team. Getting rid of Pudge for a no body was great too, lets get rid of our capable captain catcher for a bum Laird. Just as we thought this team was on the up, this team is going to be back to 03-04 fashion real quick. I hate you David B.

The only good deals he has swiped are the Cabrera deal, Mabin and the kid were a bust. Also Edwin Jackson deal was solid too.

Went from hero to ZERO real quick...

This team needs a revamping from top to bottom. Overpaying for old players needs to stop. Bring up the farm talent from Toledo, etc. now and just start fresh. Dave D. needed to go years ago....

There is no farm talent. That talent is gone now for bullshit deals we got nothing from.

        Promising talent...

        Ryan Perry
        Rick Porcello

        Nothing else is appealing.

        Thomas is 28 years old.
        Rayburn is 28.
        Larish is 27.

I mean this team is seriously fukked.

Those 5 mother fukkers make almost as much as the entire Marlin and Pirates organization combined.

The farm has been solid though, maybe just not at this moment. Would rather take my chances there rather than Dombrowski overspend for another washed up nobody. At least that way I could remain a bit more patient with the outcome.

He has been ok. The talent he is left with his whores hit. Let's take a look...

                Bonderman-IR
                Willis-IR
                Zumaya-IR
                Gallaraga-Whore Shit
                Guillen-IR

Most of his "talent" has been beat up. Letting go of your gold glove 2nd basement isn't the answer.

There problem is that they haven't developed enough home ground talent. In the AL teams like the Yankees, Red Sox, and Angels, all have home grown talent, mixed in with high price talent. That is the model of success.

Polanco is making 700k less than Inge. Couldn't have offered him 1 year 7 mill to stay? Give Sizemore another year to develop? No, we just won't offer him a dime and help him pack his bags. Disgrace.

                      Deuce, wouldn't overreact like that.

Yeah' its frustrating to know that some of these deadbeats screwed over Detroit.
But this is what I say to looking at the bright side:
D-Train screwed you, but you got Cabby. And I feel he was the biggest all star snub.
Cabby was the best 1b average, great stretch, and at times, showed some leather.
Of course, him and Maggs, were killing them in those GIDP's.

Also, they were 1 game from the post-season, and they were projected to finish last. Not too bad.

Gotta love Perry and Porcello. Those arms were saved, as well
Dave did tell Jimmy not to burn them out, and they will be fresh healthy arms in Spring training.

Adam Everett showed leather- only 1.55 mill on the books.

Polanco too pricy. 18 mill 3years and he's 35. What was Philly thinking!!!
Kitties got a minor leaguer that was their supposed player of the year, last year to take 2b.

Wouldn't hate on Dave, too much?
I blame those players for pulling a Jamarcus Russel, for not playing after they got signed to fat contracts.
D-train sucked in a big hurry.
Jacques Jones was not supposed to be that bad. But he was using a pink bat. Maybe he had homo issues- who knows?
Zumaya hasn't been that expensive. But I agree, cut his ass.
Wait for Bondo and Maggs to re-surge. They should come around, again.
Sheff acted like an idiot!!! Blame him for screwing over Detroit.

                      He did get you Verlander.
                      Got you good defense.
Hung on to Brandon Inge. (just don't have him go to the derby) He's leather and a couple of dingers.

My point, I understand the frustration. Maybe a little misplaced.
Illitch, did, pretty much, give him the checkbook.
                      Red Wings are still badass.
Little Ceasars is probably doing awesome, by being the cheapest pizza, in what is now a bad economy.

Cheer up Deuce, and go get Rich-Rod out of Ann Arbor and get a goddam Michigan man to take over the program.
                      Harbaugh?

Certainly some major mistakes but overall a decent job turning around one of the worst franchises at the time of his hire. He certainly pulled a Steinbrenner when on the verge of winning the World Series picked up all that high priced veteran talent. With a green light from the owner, why not? I think the economic prudence this time around is sensible and I hope the fans can be patient. Illitch is an amazing owner and I believe there is a coherent strategy in D-town.

Cardinals suck to Deuce. The biggest cancer on the team makes the most and needs to go if we ever want to win. Everybody on the team hates him. Last year after the last game he packed up,ignored the media and teammates and left in a hurry. He's at least 35 yo but people believe he is right at 30.

At least he was at the hero level.

The deals on Wednesday should be fine. Basically a wash on the mound between Scherzer and Edwin Jackson, and Scherzer is cheaper. And the Austin Jackson kid is going to be just fine a year or two from now.

I'm really liking Scherzer, if Verlander and Porcello can continue to progress and Scherzer becomes nearly as good as people are predicting that is really good top 3 in the rotation. Granderson is a great guy, a good player with speed and defense but he strikes out too much. So we'll see if Jackson is ready to replace him in center.
