Heisman Trophy goes to Colt McCoy, unless, unless Ingram has the game of his entire career, basically 200+yards and 4 TD's.

I think this is going to be playoff atmosphere and it is going to be a terrific game today. I think this is one is over late and it is going to be a defensive battle no doubt. They are sure going to be hitting hard. This is like two pro teams playing each other considering all of the talent that is on both sides.

This game is about as big as it gets. It mirrors last years game but is bigger because the cast of characters have, for the most part, been there and done that. I would love to see 'Bama win, but I sure wold not wager on it. By the way, for all of you guys going the suicide route and wagering your last dime on this game, 'Bama is 7-4 ATS and Florida is 6-5.

As far as McCoy and the Heisman are concerned, he would have to have a terrible day in defeat to lose it. If Texas lost 36-35, and McCoy threw for 5 TD's, he still wins it. He would have to be held to under 3 TD tosses in a loss to have anything to worry about.

I totally disagree that mcCoy is the favorite going into this game for the heisman!
He is 3rd on my list!

I am on the West Coast and I will tell you that we consider it to possibly be fo the NC. If Texas should somehow stumble and lose, then it is for the NC.

As far as my picks go, I like Texas to defeat Nebraska in what may be a low scoring affair. Nebraska does have a defense. Unfortunately the do not have an offense. Texas tends go get bogged down by good defenses, but they still manage to win. Because of that, I would not give 14-15 points in this game.

I think the 'Bama-Florida game is a lot tougher to call. In order for 'Bama to have a shot, McElroy must play good enough to keep the Florida defense honest. If not, they play an 8 man front to stop Ingram and the 'Bama offense. Florida scores in the 20'sagainst good defensive teams, and I do not see them scoring less against 'Bama. The question will be if 'Bama can keep up with them. I really have no pick for this game.

As far as the Heisman Trophy is concerned, if you do not think that McCoy is ahead, I suggest you do some research. He is way ahead in the Southwest and Midwest. Gerhart will hurt him in the West. In the East and Southeast, Ingram, and Tebow will split a lot of votes, and Spiller may ge a few with a solid game against Ga. Tech today. The Heisman is a numbers game. There is more than just a 1st place vote. I can't see McCoy getting many votes lower than 2nd place, while all the others certainly will. Baring an unforseen disaster today for the kid, McCoy wins it. Personally I have him 2nd, behind Gerhart, but I have seen Gerhart play a lot more than I have seen McCoy, so I may be biased.

This is correct. If you follow the line movement in this game, the line has fluxtuated very little, going form -6 to -4.5, and then back to -5.5. This is aveage for a game of this stature. The bigger the game, the less line movement you are likely to see, because the "smart"money, "high rollers" "wiseguys", "sharps", or whatever you want to call them tend to stay away from these games because there is little, if any solid value to them. It is a lot easier to manipulate a line on a game with less stature than it is this type of game. It is a lot easier finding a bad line in a game with less stature. There is only one game that has had a big line movement, and that is the San Jose State-La. Tech game, wherer the line has gone from -16 to -23.5. No offense to either team, but I certainlyh would not call a game between two 2 wins teams a game of high stature.

Have you ever gotten your ass kicked??? When someone kicks the other persons ass, it's very hard to give a mental edge to the one that got beat. UF kicked Bama's ass last year and has the mental edge to kick their ass again.

This is the national title game... Texas is good don't get me wrong but the SEC has shown that they own the Big 12. There is nothing else to look forward to. The winner of this game can go ahead and get the national champ jerseys b/c its how it will end. Hope my boys roll but everybody better have the dvr set you are gonna watch this one again... You all are a part of football history today!

I can say you probably are right about the SEC is better than the big 12 this season. Texas really has not played the teams that in the SEC. I think it will be a competitive game but the SEC team should win unless they turn the ball over too much as you never know what can happen there.
