Will sportsbooks drop the New Jersey Nets as a board team?
It won't happen but if the Nets keep up like this, can you blame sportsbooks if they just leave Nets games off the board? At some point, will we see "Line Circled - Team is Not Competitive".

Hoops can be different in that a team could just go on like this a long time. This is why there are so many 4-0 sweeps in the NBA playoffs. Some teams just have a starting five that's way worse than any other starting five.
In baseball and football, there are more players on the field and sooner or later a big night happens for some of the roster even against way better competition.
Books will keep putting numbers up but they'll get tired of taking a bath - especially with the chalkbangers hammering the money lines and using a Nets opponent in parlays regularly.

Yeah - I am sure a lot of people are doubling and tripling up on the Nets money line every night. The contrarians of the world are getting killed.

its about their ATS record, books couldn't care less if they ever won.

That's why they have something called a point spread
How did Reload get a job at SBR if he doesn't understand a simple concept?

well the ML against the nets everynight is not a good bet esp. when the lines are overpriced right now. But the nets are horrendous and they should picked up AI.

It's still tough to figure out how high to make the spread when you have a team this bad that cannot compete. It's like trying to put a line on Duke against Florida A&M - how high can it go?
And this is why some books don't even put money lines on games that have a double digit favorite. The money lines can just get used in parlays and hammer a book. Anyone fading the Nets in that way this season has cleaned up.

I think the books would welcome ML bets against the Nets.
They have covered spreads, eventhough they are winless.

Weren't some colleges years ago left off the board since they just flat out lost too much? Temple maybe?
Maybe the NBA at least needs an "Added Games" section on the board

Not very high at any forum, BigDaddy. Is your application still in a few piles?

Are you talking spreads left off the board, often times some books wont list ML's on large favorites.

I thought some colleges years ago had spreads off the board entirely since they were so terrible and could shave points without even trying too hard.

It has to at least be putting a dent into the nightly sportsbook profits for now, jayroy. Books just have to hope money won by fading the Nets is lost on something else - like they do with bets on things like UFC.

Maybe we'll see it in March. But I don't think Duke is going to be a 1 seed.

Whoever they are up against in Round 1 will have it run up on them - you can always count on Coach K for that, jello! Highhhhhhhhh spread
