Had my first root canal today

Anyone have some horror stories to share with these?

Had my front teeth bonded when I was 18. Went in to get porcelain veneers in my mid 20's. One tooth had abscessed, and I never knew it. The dentist drained it and said it was the worst he had ever seen. He did the root canal, put on the veneers, gave me his personal cell in case an infection happened, and sent me on my way.

Went to happy hour that afternoon. Figured the whiskey would help more than hurt. Never had any issues.

Have it done in Manila, urge! I have heard it only costs $75 there.

I've had two of them. Personally, I like 'em. That doesn't mean that I want any more, but when I consider how the teeth felt before the procedure, it was a big step up.

I agree 100%. I was in agony before my 1st root canal. I was jumping for joy afterwards. A root canal is no different (pain wise) than a filling. Just a lot of digging that's all.

Just don't let the dentist talk you into the damn porcelain caps, Reload.

I hate going to the dentist. But I go three times a year for deep cleanings so that I can avoid gum troubles later. At least it's bearable with the three nice young ladies that my dentist has working for him
