We are always looking for new contest suggestions. As usual we'll take ideas from the board and this time there is 250 points in it. Will run for last two weeks in Dec. We can do something with teams, action points or props or use the standard SBRpicks scoring.

Any format, risk, win or base. Tourney or league or league with rounds.

Any Sport(s)

Prize % for placing? Winner take all? Top 10? Top 25%?

Tag Team contest if possible

Basically a 2 on 2 capping contest like the 128 man tourneys

Maybe like 32 or 64 teams depending on interest

Team of mods (maybe 5 of them) vs. teams of 5 SBR posters.

Some varying format of capping for that span in December. Winning overall team wins grand prize. Any team with higher units than Mods team wins some form of consolation prize.



Hmmm.....not sure if SBR Picks can handle teams or not. Maybe not.

3 team parlay contest

Similar idea but mine goes as follows

-2 team parlay contest for 2 weeks.
-each parlay is 2 units, with an OPTIONAL 1 unit 3 team parlay
-minimum 1 parlay a day, max 3 a day, max 12 a week though
-Basketball,football,college football and bball
-You can cross sports in parlay(obviously)
-the 3 team parlay would be optional, but give chance to make up some ground.(this could be tweaked)

Was an idea i was going to propose a while back but figured there was no point. Parlay contests are generally fun.

Top 10:
1st: 30%
2nd: 20%
3rd: 14%
4th: 9%
5th: 7%
6th: 6%
7th: 5%
8th: 4%
9th: 3%
10th: 2%

Limit it to people who have been here for at least six months and have 1,000 posts or more. Give something back to the committed posters.

Two per team, as many teams as can be made by established posters. People can form their own teams, or just submit themselves for the contest, and they would be randomly assigned.

NCAAB, NFL, NCAAF, NBA, and NHL.

a little different but could stir up some fun and chance for people to find value in underdogs.

We pick captains and do a draft. Whoever wants to be captain can be it. Each team gets 5 members per team. They discuss what plays they like and must submit 3 each day. Best team record gets points then 2nd place and so on.
