Definitely the right call.

Your logic is sound! However, it is not the way the NFL is generally coached. In that instance most if not all coaches kick the FG. Down 11 afterwards with a quarter to play. Maybe the Saint's turn the ball over next drive then you get a quick score and down one possesion. I see it all the time. Besides when did picking up 4 yrd on 4th down become an easy task??

You probably was one of the same ones defending Bellicheat against Indy when he decided to go for it on 4th down deep in his territory with 2 minutes to play.

Lyon get over the fact that the over was a square play brother. Books win on totals or sides in these games. It was obvious the smart money was on the under. I will PM you a nba winner later on today. Calm down brother

It doesn't matter if it's fixed or not. I usually avoid this because I bet against the public, but had a weak moment and fell in love with the over in this game.I am only bitching here and venting. More times than not the fix has benefitted me over the years. I have watched this scenario unfold thousands of times and knew I had been had way before the general public had been had. I knew I was fukked way before the missed FG, but then had false hope with the Brady interception and the long return by Sharper already and FG range. Also, one thing not mentioned by anyone was the TD pass before that missed by Brees in the endzone. He was as sharp tonite as he ever been all game. Funny he overthrew that reciever so badly on 3rd and 4 to go.

As far as the coin goes. It's all in accordance to your level of skill and bankroll. My $1,000 plays are no more significant to me than my $50 or $100 plays use to me. Yea, the number is much bigger, but in the overall scheme of things nothing is different just another zero on the end and way more hassle to collect your money.

It's awesome you seen that too. I mean this fukkker is throwing bullets and sticking in MF'ers numbers all nite long. After all I seen from him tonite it's hard for me to believe he missed that poorly. That throw damn near went into the stands. Look, for other people who think I am nuts... I know QB's are human and miss passes, but when you are as good as him you don't miss like that. It's almost like a Ray Allen or any good shooter in the NBA airballing a wide open 3 pointer. It just don't happen at there level that often especially when they are on like he was all nite. Brees could have thrown the ball in a mail box from 40 yds out. Have you ever seen the best at competitions throwing? It's amazing how good they are.

The Patriots have consistently beat hell out of almost everybody,so the coach would figure 2 yards was a very high percentage play .
And you make the 2 ,then you get the highly probable 7 points .

I admit. I played the square play and got beat. I am not unhappy or pissed off. It reaffirms what I already knew. Like I said before. I have been on the right side of this way more over the years that on the wrong.

Just some things to note when you are on the square side of the money.

                  1) There was another missed FG, but Carney's late missed attempt looked wrong. I can't explain it other than it wreaked a little to me. 37 yds is chip shot for the pro's and the way he pushed it. I mean it was pushed early on from the get go and had no chance of making it.
                  2) As I mentioned in the above post Brees overthrowing his reciever by so much setting up the Carney miss.
                  3) Bill Billicheat going for it on 4th down and 4 around the 15 yrd line with over a quarter to be played. At that moment they were down 14 pts and could have cut it to 11. At that point you are very much in the game and in almost all instances NFL coaches will kick right there.
                  4) Last, but not least taking Brady out with over 5 minutes left in the game and bringing a scrub QB in to run the clock out????? I know the game is over there down 21 pts, but all coaches leave there starter in with that much time left to get a garbage TD late to pad stats against the prevent defense of the New Orleans secondary. Hell, if nothing else you make the final score look more respectable. With 5 minutes, two minute warning and timouts. They might have could have scored 2 touchdowns there. Payton Manning had no trouble scoring 2 touchdowns two weeks prior in less time than that against them.

Even when he kicked the fg it looked like he just chipped it to the side, missed fg's usually veer a direction ,that just hooked

Keep in mind with your thinking you and I are in a minority here. Most of these fish in here and other facets of life cannot comprehend this. Most of these people never played any sports I played in college so I have a better understanding than most of what it should look like. Missed FG's are part of the game. It happens. After late in the 3rd quarter when the game was over the game switched some gears. Also, left out that wide open TD pass Brady severly overthrew. I never see Brady miss that bad on wide open recievers running down the sideline. Not him at all there.
