These high-octane, pedal to the metal offenses come and go every couple years.. you need to be able to have controlled, sustained drives and let your defense rest.. The pats will show the world why they are champs with long drives and a bend but dont break defense....and Brees will be exposed tonight.. sure, he'll put up points and look like a hall of famer at times, but those back shoulder throws will not work forever.. starting tonight.

The Eagles are one-dimensional and that one dimension isnt very good..their receivers are undersized and with any kind of pass rush they can be stopped..they need a Big receiver bad..

I really think Most of you have forgotten how Great this team was 2 years ago...

I know its not the same team..but they are starting to roll again..

Do you remember when the Pats were 2 TD favorites with a Total around 55 every game...

They are just about back to being that team...they should be 4 point Favorites tonight...

I guess we will see soon...

not that mcnabb is all that great but wasnt he sidelined when the saints played the eagles.... i believe that was kolbs first or second game

Gotta give you props since you're one of the guys I'm chasing in BTP, but this isn't the Patriots' defense of years past. You talk about controlled, sustained drives, and the Saints are the team that is best suited to put these drives together. The Patriots lack a rushing attack, they're too one dimensional and it will hurt them in this game. The Saints meanwhile, despite being one of the leading passing attacks in the NFL, has thrown the ball the 9th least in the league and rushed the 3rd most in the NFL (at 4.76 ypc, 5th best mark in the NFL). The Patriots also don't exactly have a bend but don't break defense like you mentioned, seeing how they've given up 17 offensive tds to 8 fgs, over a 2-1 ratio. That's the 8th worst in the NFL. You've used good concepts, but you've applied them to the wrong team. Saints will take this one.
