For those who think the Martingale strategy is so easy, I was playing in the casino with points and here was the outcome.

taking 1 to 12 at 2 to 1. betting 1 1 2 3 4 6 7 14 21 31 48 71 106 159 (the SBR casino tops out but if it was bigger) 239 488. (I only bet 1 pint per roll but was keeping track as if I was better the larger amounts after a loss).

I would have had to go to 488 in order to cash...... now I played 1 point a roll just to see what would happen. Basically I lost 15 in a row on a 2 to 1 shot before finally hitting to get my point won. So at a minimum you need to be able to find a casino that will give you $1 min to $500 max to be reasonably safe. Even then there is no guarantee.

Think about it next time you think Martingale is the answer to gambling.

I've got this great system that involves fading loss streaks of 5 or more for teams leading their division. I will use this thread to track my progress. This is NOT a chase system as I will double my bet only until a maximum loss of 256 units.

I like using the reverse martingale: bet max, win, cut down to half, win again, half of that, win again, half of that. If you lose 5 times in a row you are done. It works everytime

Works pretty good at roulette, even and odd.
