Exchange your currency into Canadian funds before vising our beloved Tim Horton's coffee shops. I'm sick and tired of US coins being handed to me after I buy coffee. It's happening on a daily basis.

Same goes for us. If I had a quarter for every time I've gotten a Canadian quarter in change and wasn't able to buy a gumball with it, I'd be able to buy a lot of gumballs.

Save all the US coins you get in return and change them in at once and your coffee just got a whole bunch cheaper!

This is a good point. $100 dollars worth of US change is worth about $106 Canadian right now.

I doubt Canadian banks will fart around with converting US change but it's still worth spending a day and taking the drive to a Buffalo bank that will process your rolled up American coinage.
