UCLA calls a timeout on defense with no chance to win. USC gets pissed and throws the bomb and scores to rub it in. Players were coming off of the benches. They've got it under control so far. more to come.....

This was crazy. I think the coach said alright lets throw it down their throat. I think it made USC mad and they said enough of this. This could have gotten real ugly with some fights and I am glad cooler heads took over. This one could have gotten bad.Comment -

Southern Cal had the game won. With less than a minute to play and the outcome of the game no longer in doubt, Rick Neuheisel called a time out (that he had no business calling, IMO). This obviously pissed Pete off. Next play, play action pass for a TD from about 50 yards out...
Now, I'm not saying that what Pete did showed much class or sportmanship...but once UCLA called the time out, I think pretty much all bets are off...
OTOH, it's pretty easy to see why Harbaugh went for two when Stanford was up 47-21 with six minutes left. Carroll has been running up the score on people for years. When Harbaugh got a chance to give them a taste of their own medicine, he didn't think twice about it. I just wish Harbaugh had been man enough to say that when he was asked why he went for two instead of the BS excuse he gave that nobody in their right mind would believe...
