I know it's early but let's talk about where to bet CFB
I have gone 161-90 (64%) in CFB over the last 2 years, and it's the only sport that I bet seriously, and I do it for the money. I only lay about 300-500 per game and rarely 1000-1500 which probably doesn't rank me as a 'professional' level bettor which means I can probably choose from a lot of different sites.

I'm very serious about being as efficient as possible, reducing juice wherever possible and getting bonuses is nice to offset some costs. I typically don't mind deposit/withdrawl fees as I only deposit or withdraw once the entire year. I'm not a bonus scalper and I don't need 10 different sites to bet on. I experimented with a variety of places last year and of course loved Pinnacle, but that's no longer an option... this March Madness I put 400 in matchbook just to screw around and see if I liked it and it was even better than I had hoped, so that will be my primary site this fall.

Problem with MB is that I often want to lay 500 or so on really small market games, and I'm worried that there might not be enough of a market for me to get that down. Thus, I am looking for 2 things:

    1. a 'normal' sportsbook where I can lay bets down if I can't get them on matchbook, preferrably at -105. I am thinking about 5 dimes, which, according to SBR lays -105 for CFB. Is this correct? Thoughts/opinions/comments?

    2. a 'normal' sportsbook where I can lay bets down for future games before the season starts. I typically KILL on these, and thus am willing to pay -110 which is usually the best you can do on futures. I like to make season win over/under at bets as well, but have decided against it as it ties up a lot of my liquidity until the end of the season. In the past, I used sportsbetting.com, bodog and betmaker. What's the most reliable site where I can get my money down on future games as early as possible? Any recommendations?

I'll probably drop 2k into future games, put about 4k into the 'normal' sportsbook hopefully getting -105 and 8-10k into matchbook for the bulk of my betting.

Any advice would be appreciated - also, where do you guys plan to play CFB this season?

I've got a few books that I stick to for all sports simply because they're the best:

    1. Matchbook
    2. The Greek
    3. BookMaker
    4. Bet Jamaica
    5. 5 Dimes

These five are all you really need...for any sport.

It dont matter how much you bet. It matters how you bet. There are dudes worth 8 figs who will bet nickels if thas the limit they get.

I would wait for now and keep an eye on Bestlinesports; B+ rating. SBR is visiting them in Panama before CFB starts. They're low juice and recently purchased Betonline.com.

How long have they been around? Do you know when SBR will visit?

Is there any point, if 5 dimes does actually give -105? Any one know restrictions on -105 at 5 dimes?

BetOnline looks pretty solid. I may have to check them out.

Wish they had more deposit options though...

Link to low juice books and their restrictions (5Dimes has a $500 limit for low juice NFL).

SBR should be back from Panama before the start of football. Unless they like it too much down there.

It was this "we" stuff that made it sound like advertising. Are you just copying something from an email or their site?

                          Fight -

There are a lot of ways to bet more. Almost all of them involve working with a group. the organized groups have accounts at 20+ books (including Pinnacle) and runners in Vegas to bet at all the sportsbooks. The small market games are always tougher to bet... but how small are you thinking? Added Div-I games, or Div I-AA and lower games?

I have contacts with quite a few sports betting groups, but none of them will have any interest unless you have been interviewed and questioned extensively - many players claim to be good, but far fewer can provide confirmation and/or explanation for their methodologies.

Most groups won't be interested in your work unless you are well capitalized also. If you can't win with your own plays, they don't need you. If you aren't adverse to sharing risk (and losing your money if you lose), and want to know more about groups (or syndicates as some books call them), feel free to write me at justin@sportsbookreview.com.

Bookie. Your exactly right about my post saying "we" which could imply me representing bestlines.

I copied that from a live chat about 5 weeks ago, "we" was nikki talking in the live chat session.

-105 lines and you can buy up to three points on side/totals.

Justin - thank you for your post, but I am a little confused. What do I need a group for? I just need to know which site I should make an account at so that I can bet.

What is the function of a group, and do you think that it would benefit me to join one? I have extensive documentation of all my bets (when/where/how much/result/points won or lost by/points*dollars etc.) but of course it could be forged I guess... I also have records from pinnacle and betmaker and sportsbook etc.

You do not need a group unless your betting large amounts of money and I do not think you do.

Just bet with the big boys like

                                Greek
                                WSEX
                                Matchbook (exchange lower juice)
                                Jamaica

JJ, please elaborate on what "large amounts of money would be".

                                  $5K, $10K, more?

And would that be $10K all for the individual in the group, or would it be $2K for the individual, $8K for the rest of the guys.

What I'm trying to ask is does that figure represent what the group is betting as a whole on the game, or the piece of the pie that the individual bettor (within the group) has on the game?

10k is not large nor is 20k

I would say maybe starting at 30K or more you would need a group to move money at different safe top books.

College Football it is not really hard by yourself to get down 10k-20k type bets.
