Magic/Hawks was a nice matchup on paper, but each team has 4 fans. Hardly a game that will get ratings.

    Bulls/Jazz?

Give me some Lakers/Celtics. If you're not going to schedule the best, take the day off entirely.

I guess they figure NFL overshadows them enough to not put on a huge matchup but they put something on hoping to get a few degenerates. Kind of like what ESPN does with these Sunday night college football games they have on sometimes or putting a degenerate bowl game on a Monday that starts a little before NFL.

NBA usually throws out a real nice matchup on Christmas but I think they wave the white flag to NFL on Thanksgiving

Yes, always the marquee matchup on Christmas.

I know the NBA had no games on Thanksgiving for a several-year stretch just a couple years ago. NFL is obviously tough to compete with, but you can't be afraid. Schedule your best and see what happens.

Kobe doesnt want to play on thanksgiving. His wife said no. On Xmas he just gives the presents and ring in the morning and drives out to the game in the evening.

I know Christmas is a bigger NBA day, but I thought that there were more than two games on past Thanksgivings.
