they show a clip of Denver coach yelling: " All we're trying to do is win the mother ****ing game". This was not live, first of all. Then, after the break they're like :"we sincerely apologize".

No, it was a clip they played before going to commercial. I'm all for profanity. But if you're gonna do it accidentally and then apologize for it, you really look like a moron. And they actually apologized for Josh McDaniels not themselves.
I just wish these pricks would keep their mouths shut and keep the camera on the field. Like the old days.

Is there someone left, somewhere, who's still "offended" by such "coarse language"?
I appreciate the desire to not encourage kids to emulate such talk but pretending to honor some outdated morality so as to seem politically correct and trying to work this charade directly after running the tape? I wish they'd get called out.
NFL Network must not know that some viewers know its not live!!!

Funny you should say this because I tuned into a game a few weeks back, think it was the first Thursday nighter this year and there was no audio.
I really honestly thought for awhile that they were doing just what you describe and I became to think 'man this is actually pretty cool....much better really, pretty smart NFL Network, this is real."
Then out of nowhere of course the audio was fixed and.....
blah blah blah blah...

Its good to show a coach going insane about his team. Shows the drive he has to get his team to the top.

I've been watching some old baseball broadcasts from 70-80's. It's amazing to remember what a pleasure it is to watch sports without the bombardment of ads, noise, irrelevant conversation, clips, and flashing graphics.

I know people will say "just mute it" but its not the same.
Field miked and just that? You hear crowd noise, sounds of the game, whistles...alot of stuff.
Many would consider this vastly better than announcers. I expect this to be an available option one day, prolly just through NFL Sunday Ticket though.

Especially the ads, too many of those are literally just ad agencies trying to imprint a client's name upon brains through the use of psychic terror...screaming, people hitting others with things, buttass ignorant conversation. The ads, I totally am automatically on the mute button....its now like second nature to me, automatic...
But yeah when you watch the old broadcasts....its just amazing how far we've strayed from what it was once about......televising a game.

I agree with you dark angel. I mean I appreciate good play by play as well, but that's about all I want from these guys. Plus there's no way to get rid of the constant pop up stats and replay from old games. Sometimes they got so much shit going on they miss the live play.

im not a guy who is offended by swearing, nor do i feel at this day and age people should still be worried about 4 letter words. With that being said, it was a family holiday with young kids around tv's today. Some parents dont want there kids to hear such words, and a NFL game that is gonna be broadcast during a family holiday should be "safe" to watch.
