Your in a dome, I could understand if it was outside, depending on the weather.

I do not think he is trusting his kicker.

He's going for the cover...FG doesn't help him.

I didn't get that either, I don't follow the Pack too closely, but isn't Mason Crosby a pretty good kicker? At least good enough for a 48 yarder in a dome?

not anywhere near as bad, as it wasn't in the 4th quarter with 2 mins remaining.... are you serious?

If you believe the math guys led by Brian Burke.... if you don't know who he is use google, google is your friend. Then on the 31 yard line with 2 yards to go (a 48 yard field goal) the optimal decision is to go for it. It actually is an optimal decision all the way up to 4 and 5. If you believe conventional wisdom and I know fishhead does being an assistant at Iowa and that, then you kick a field goal. I think it makes for better football if the coaches start deciding to get more aggressive on first downs. If you pay attention to the CFL on 3rd down (your 4th down) coaches are more inclined to go for it because you only get some many opportunities with the ball.

The worst call of all time happened in the Yale - Harvard game. Yale went for it on 4th and like 25 from deep in their own end, when they were up 10-7 late in the game.
No other coaching blunder comes close, not even Les Miles not calling time out and losing at Ole Miss.

yeah, saw highlights. That was awful.
Worst decision I saw today was Denver going for a 4th and 5 when they had a 47-48 yard FG.
Kicking in Denver is pretty easy when the conditions are good. Altitude and thin air.
4th and 5 is not a high percentage play. They did convert it, though, to Scheffler, and wound up kicking a shorter FG.
