what i find interesting, is that i'm 100% sure ou can ask any gambler and they will tell you they've lost many more games by .5, than they have won. how can this be possible, shouldn't it be 50-50?? there's some kind of negative energy associated with this. you always get more bad breaks than good ones.

I lost several exactas and trifectas by a nose and 3 scratch offs by a number, gambling is a tough game and the reason i cut back on sports betting so drastically is I could not take sweating out a 2-4 hour game and losing by a pt or .5 on a bad beat or even a huge comeback, rather bet the ponies and if I lose by a nose jump on the next race in 2 minutes and fight on

I agree with this however it is true that negative experiences are more prominent in our minds so it could be about even yet we only remember the bad ones

they were Denver U -3.5, spurs -14.5, hornets -3.5, arizona st +10.5, utah val +6.5, kentucky -8.5. looks like there were 6. gonzaga would have been 7, but they won by 0.5. i buy and sell pts whenever i make a wager so that changes a lot. and played many more games than just these, so the odds aren't that astronomical.

i'm not saying 100% of the games i played i lost by 0.5. just some of the many i played ended badly, and turned this into a huge losing day.

its because you remember more of your .5 losses than the winners. I took a rough 1 point loss in the wizards game yesterday and a 1 point loss in the purdue game the day before, just got to take more ML on small spreads and know the significant numbers, 3 5 7 in hoops where every point matters
