11 is the natural number following 10 and preceding 12. It is the first number which cannot be represented by a human counting his or her eight fingers and two thumbs additively. Eleven is the smallest positive integer requiring three syllables in English, and it is also the largest prime number with a single-morpheme name in this language (although etymologically the word eleven originated from a Germanic compound *ainlif meaning "one left").

No question. When I first started, a thousand was hard to imagine. But then I just found my groove, I guess.

The "fire in Cheektowaga" is a running joke here in Toronto.
We get all the Buffalo TV staions here and it used to seem that the top story on "Eyewitness News" with Irv Weinstein at 11PM was always a fire somewhere in or near Buffalo. (Tonawanda, Cheektowaga, Lackawanna etc.)
The local Toronto tv stations loved to poke fun at the "fire city" 85 miles down the road from us.
Irv Weinstein was/is a popular tv personality here in Toronto when he was a Buffalo news anchor until he retired over 10 years ago.

Reminds me of a quasi-related running joke me and my stoner friends in high school had for a long time.
It was actually about Irv's partner in awesomeness, Tom Jolls. One time my buddies and I were stoned out of our trees and we had Jolls weather report on. Why? I don't know. But anyway, Jolls was outside doing his report and suddenly there were sounds of tires screeching and horns honking in the background and Jolls got totally flustered and all he could do was blurt, "Mercy! Get that license plate number!"
It just cracked us the fuk up. Again, not sure exactly why. But for years, whenever there was any kind of disturbance of any kind in any situation, you could count on one of us idiots to jump in with a, "Mercy! Get that license plate number!"
Good times.
