    Time To Give Thanks
One day away from Thanksgiving. Traditionally a day to pay homage for all you have to be thankfull for. The past several years it's becoming more and more difficult to be truly thankfull for much. We still have thousands upon thousands of troops abroad fighting for for whatever out Goverment is telling them to fight for. We have suffered through natural disasters that have taken lives and destoyed others. Our economy is in the tank with no feasable let up in sight. Tens of thousands of people are out of work.

Yes we are facing a time when you really have to look deep to find something that gives hope and that you can truly be thankfull for.

One constant for most of us is we can always be thankfull for family and friends. So with that in mind I want to say I am thankfull I stumbled across SBR last year and thankfull I gave it enough time to grow on me. I may disagree with some, I may not understand others but I am still thankfull because each of you are what makes this one of the best places I've come across.

So what are some of the things other SBR;ers have to give thanks for?

      Nice post Wal!

I have to say I'm thankful for my friends and family first off! They support me in everything I do!

I'm thankful for my teachers! They really help me out a lot. And I've learned so much from them!

I'm thankful for our troops who continue to fight for our freedom day in and day out!

I just want to say God Bless everyone here at SBR! If you plan to travel over the holiday, be safe and drive carefully! As I'm sure there will be lots of traffic.

      Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
      Enjoy your Holiday

Nice thought Wal. I am thankful for family, friends and troops. Thankful for being born in America as well. It is nice to know that there are still people out there that think of others before themselves. Peace Men and Ladies.

Man, you Americans really like to draw out your Thanksgiving. We started getting the Happy Thanksgivings yesterday and it hasn't stopped. I don't remember it being like this in past years.

I guess that's what I'm thankful for - that Canadian Thanksgiving is just one day. I don't dislike Thanksgiving - it's good - it's nice - but one day seems sufficient. No one gets too goofy about it.

One prolonged mess of a holiday - Xmas - is enough for me each year.

            Anyway. Happy Thanksgiving maniacs.

Mudcat, the sad part is we shouldn't need a special time of year to be thankfull enough to express these sentiments. Everyone is always to caught up in what is cool or accepted to be compassionate enough to take the time to just say thanks. So if it seems it is being drawn out for more than one day, personally I think that is a plus for not just Americans but for humanity as a whole.

I agree Wal! Alot of people just don't have the time as well. Especially in families. Atleast mine that is. When I lived at home, My mom always worked during the day, us kids were in school. Mom would get home at 4, have to run siblings to games, practices, girl scouts, gymnastics, dance class. Never really had time to eat dinner as a family. We were always on the go. So Thanksgiving is definately a good time to bond with my family and catch up! I look forward to it. Especially since I'm away at school and rarely see my family anymore! So I'm excited!

Are we really not gonna take this opportunity to look to your fellow poster and just tell them you love them?
