How long does it take BetPhoenix moneyorders to 'clear' at your bank??

I received my first BetPhoenix pay-out Saturday, four $500 money orders ($2k total). I deposited them at the bank Saturday, and expected them to clear at midnight last night, like a check normally would.

So I just went to my bank to cash a check and take some of the money out to do some holiday shopping, and was told that the funds are not available yet because my bank was not able to collect on the money orders at midnight last night, and would try again at midnight tonight.

I realize it's probably not anything I need to be worried about of course, but am curious if any of you have run into the same issue when depositing these money orders, and how long they take to 'clear.' Any feedback appreciated, gracias amigos.

my bank usually calls them in and verifies they are good and i have access to the funds the same day.

one time they couldn't get thru i had funds the next day

i thought so also but i guess MO fraud is the most common fraud a bank handles? at least that is what i was told.

it takes them about 2 minutes to call and verify and they cash them on the spot

i have no problems waiting 2 minutes

you deposit on a Saturday and expect it to be cleared by midnight. most banks around here are closed or only open half days on a Sat. You would be lucky to get anything processed on the weekend, but by today, Tuesday, it should of cleared.

He said last night meaning Monday/Tuesday midnight.
