rivalry tx/tx am tragedy
as you all know this thurseday is thanksgiving day. but more importantly there is a very important Rivalry that is goin on deep in the heart of texas. it is the annual texas versus texas am game. if you all havent heard of the tragedy that happened many years ago i would say look into it. the first that i actually heard about what happened that night it was pretty sad and depressing knowing that students and people just like us that our selves lost their lives. i understand how big football is in college sports or any sport that goes on in college. so i ask you how important if any importance is it to hold a pep rally the night before big games. of course it can get your teams hyped up for games and the whole university but at what cost. when do you draw the line and realize that so many things can go into a tragedy like this one. all that has to go wrong is one tiny thing and before you know it it is nationwide news all over the country. how much negative can sumthing like this bring to a team. after so long a bon fire can only be so much and part of a tradtition every year. but now after a tragedy how much time, energy, emotions and feelings go into a rememberance of a certain night.where is the line drawn when it comes to a rally to get a team ready or a rememberence that could take all the positives and game planning to remember our fallen classmates. i personally never been to college but it crosses my mind constantly on what something like this could do for a school when a big game does come around. what if texas a.m. was fighting for the big twelve championship and they have all this extra camotion goin on. how does one get theit mindset ready? which is why in the end i gotta take the horns with the spread. as you all know the longhorns some may say were cheated out of the big game last year. so how would they possible stay away from that this year. i think that alabama can still loose the sec championship and still slightly beat out texas for the big game. so texas you know what you have to do. with the season winding down to its last final games and championship weekend right around the cornor..... correct me if i am wrong here but i believe they need to go out and win by atleast 4 td to show the nation that they are the team 2 beat. they were royaly screwed out of the champuonship last year so they gonna be hungry to finish this year out strong. so in the end i believe colt mccoy will have 5 td passes and atleast two of them will be goin to jordan shipley. this games will be a complete blow out with the texas longhorns just completely steam rolling the aggiea
