You people who didn't find it scary, what movie were YOU watching? Were you looking for Jason vs. Freddy or something? This movie is GENUINELY scary precisely because it is SUBTLE. There's no alien/monster/serial killer/creatures -- it's about fear of the unknown!
It's all about tension-building and pacing... it's about giving only bits of information to the audience and letting them wonder what the frig is going on and FEEL the visceral fear...
I thought it was an AWESOME idea to use the whole Blair-Witch documentary style. The whole "video footage" thing is GREAT -- it always works because it makes everything seem so real.Comment -

Not scary at all if you do not believe in ghosts/demons.
The whole premise is that it is supposed to "be real". The fear is supposed to be from the notion that "this shit could happen to me", but if you aren't retarded then it's quite obvious that it would never happen to you because ghosts/demons aren't real. It would have been scary if the film was about a dude that hid in the attic and ass-raped you in the middle of the night; at least that might be plausible. However, this movie was just a poor man's Blair Witch Project - at least the camera work/suspense in that movie made it slightly scary.Comment -

i was scared the night i went to sleep after watching this movie
then of course my room mate oders pizza at 3AM, i don't know this and hear banging on the door and wake up scared as fukk thinking it was ghosts. LOL
and then, ppl were outside slamming car doors at 5 and all this shit happened that night, figures it happens when i was scared of sleeping
