Wager Web owes me $50,733 and is refusing to pay
Wager Web owes me $50,733 and is refusing to pay. I have been playing at WW since June of 2002. I was referred by my next door neighbor. I received no signup bonus and received a 5% rebate at the end of each week on my net account change for the week. I received this refund every Monday from week 1 until 11-20-2006. The last payout I received was for $4900 on 10-27-06. I never had a problem with them until November of 2006 when I called to place a bet and was told I needed to contact my neighbor that referred me. I said for what, and they wouldn't explain anything. So I went to my neighbors house and he let me listen to a conversation he had with Dave that had been taped. I was completely furious by what I heard. They wanted him to get my password and put all my money in his account, and the alternative was for me just to forfeit my balance of $50,733. I tried calling back to Wager Web but they wouldn't talk to me and just said talk to "my neighbor's name." This had me so pissed off but seemed to be the only alternative for the time being.
Wager Web owes me $50,733 and they need to pay me every penny of it. The low life's wouldn't even get on the phone with me. I played there since June 2002 and they wouldn't even talk to me on the phone. They said in an email that I had got $44,656 in 5% rebates, and i took advantage of them. How, what, you offered it along with your average at best lines, and 20 cent baseball lines. I could of played at Pinnacle and probably saved 50k in juice, but played there as they were my first book and always paid on time and I never had an issue for over four years. I was dumbfounded. These guys are freaking CROOKS. They stole $50,733 from me and wouldn't talk to me. These CROOKS need to pay me my ****ing money.

Jesus - are we going to get a thread started by every player involved in this case?

Why is every issue with this sportsbook always with so much money involved. Out of all the threads about this every person has lost 10 grand and up. I never understand people who put so much money into these half ass'd books. Why not invest that money in a true high quality book. A book with a proven track record. The things people do just amazes me.

Surely it's occurred to you that there was some risk/reward here. People don't generally get caught with large balances at lower-ranked books for no reason. In these cases showing up against wagerweb there was obviously something exploitable going on. I'm sure we'll hear more in the coming days.

The player is turning himself into an innocent victim of a scam book. I suspect this is not the case. The player is saying that he could have saved himself $50,000 in juice by playing at Pinnacle. But despite this, he played at WagerWeb since they always "paid on time". And not as fast as Pinnacle I'd reckon.

So there we have it, the player had such a raging hard-on for playing at Wagerweb that he was willing to throw away $50,000 in juice over the period in question. Alternatively he is being economical with the truth. Which one is it?

These guys are total comedy. But then again so is Wagerweb.

Everyone posting here was onto something, beating them to line moves, scalping, whatever. Just come out and say it, we won't bite.

I don't think there would be any reason to use a book like wagerweb UNLESS you were doing something like that.

I opened an account once (bonus hunt) and they closed it after 2 bets, so you did well to keep yours open that long.

All that considered, they should pay up any balances they owe though, otherwise they will be an F rated sportsbook (which is where they should be in my opinion anyway).

Good luck in the future, syndicate members!

All those players probably knew eachother and took fully advantage of the cashback bonus at Wagerweb. But so what? They were probably all scalping vs. Pinnacle, Mansion and others, but again. What difference does it make?

How could Wagerweb allow these players to do it for 4 years, if these players did anything illegal (which they most probably didn't)...

I would hope that anyone that is owed money from a sportsbook would start their own thread.

Tacomax. My bad. I had to change my user name on Eye On Gambling because they did not want me to use my login wagerwebsux. So, I had to change it on Eye On Gambling, and then when I came back to SBR I mixed it up with EOG, and created a new login here.

I may have had one drink to many tonight.

So in my wagerwebsux handle, I would hope anyone who is owed money from a sports book would post their own thread.

I played at Pinnacle and kept a larger balance over there and didn't mind saving on the juice there, but Wager Web offered a 5% rebate which was like saving juice as well. The comparison I was making is that playing at Wager Web with their 5% rebate was similair to playing at a low juice book like Pinnacle. The only way I was throwing away $50k in juice is if Wager Web spills the $50,733 they owe me.

Wack and Slash, I played there for 4 1/2 years without any problems, and continue to bet the same way from day one until the account was closed.

Despite your problem with Wagerweb, you're not making yourself look any better by creating multiple usernames. Why don't you let SBR try and deal with this and stop your, and your friends, postings?

                              taco,

Let me give you a hint!
Imagine being the best gambler in the world like your country man Harry and you want US$1m on a match, would you bet any with Pinnacle knowing that so many books look at their prices?

Just because you bet with them for 4.5 years does not mean you are innocent of whatever the dispute is. If someone was robbing their employers cash register for 4.5 years and then got caught one day robbing them for $20 bucks, they will still be accountable for the robbery the last 4.5 years.

I am not saying you robbed Wager Web, I have not read all of the details about your situation, however I do not have any sympathy for you since you are opening up multiple user names and know the difference between Pinnacle and the other shops.
