I'm chasing last night's losses by putting a ton on Rider. I think VA is horrible.

Will do. I'm on Rider +5. I was going to pull the trigger at +4 but had to take a dump. I came back and it went up a point to +5. GL

UVA has been a strong first half and terrible second half team so far this year. This isn't over guys.

That being said, UVA -4.5 was my POD in the best bet thread.

Virginia is going to surprise some people this year. They are missing their 7ft center and another 6'8 starter right now. The center will be back next game.

They're not very good, but come ACC season they should have a little better grasp of Tony Bennett's offensive and defensive principals.

And the bottom line in this one is we are talking about ACC caliber athletes on one side, and not on the other. ACC team coming off a tough loss (to a very underrated USF squad) playing at home against a mid-major team that has gotten two decent wins by shooting way over their heads and were bound to come back down to reality.

UVA has played ONE GAME at home so far this year (and 1 on the road). So while it's true that they are allowing 72ppg at home, it is still only ONE GAME. You can't use any of these figures you quoted to handicap anything at this point in the season. I expect UVA to eventually allow about 60-65 a game on defense. The "only" 72 points they allowed against Longwood was totally unacceptable for a Tony Bennett coached team.

I'm saying using stats like UVA is allowing 72ppg at home and Rider is averaging 90ppg on the road.... when you're talking about ONE GAME those numbers are irrelevant.
