If the government can't successfully operate the Post Office...
How do they expect to successfully run our health care?

Fed Ex and UPS being privatized seem to be doing well...

bad example. post office does a great job considering the volume they handle. No way a private company can ever handle it.

UPS is a shithole. You ever try to retrieve a package from their office?

If a private company was handling the Post Office you would be paying $2 to send a postcard.

It costs less to ship via UPS than USPS. I am just curious how they managed a $4,000,000,000.00 deficit.

Obviously you never shipped anything before. USPS is the cheapest of all. Try to send a 10 lb box to England and you will quickly find it costs 3 times more via UPS. Just go to their websites and check it out.

Inside the US its cheaper. They wouldn't be in business otherwise.

$2 is probably already being paid, just not by the person actually sending it. Just because it's subsidized by other taxpayers, it doesn't make it cheaper or more efficient. Extremely poor understanding of how govt. programs run being displayed in this thread.

Not to mention the massive losses by the post office that everyone has to cover. It's actually a perfect example of how health care would be run.

I do alot of busines on eBay, post office is the way to go for small light items, or heavy but smaller items with the flat rates...but the bigger ticket items are cheaper UPS

A 10 lb box costs $4.95 with USPS flat rate box.
A 10 lb box with UPS costs $41
