Anybody here work a 2nd retail job at Christmas time?

Anyone can get these $15 an hour or so jobs, have never worked one except 3 years ago when I worked in retail full time, it sucked it was stressful from door open till doors closed I hated it, now I work in executive transportation which means the holidays are the least stressful time of the year from tomorrow until december 1st then from december 18th-january 8th the same I used to be bitter and hate the Holidays now I pray for them to come quickly although the recession has hit hard our industry is one of the few that are growing, if you are looking for a job i reccomend applying to executive transport/limo operatioons as we have had ouyr best year in 20 years of buisiness this past year

it is amazing how easy it is to get these jobs and how quick the $ adds up i am glad i don't have to do it anymore though, these companies pay great $ and give you OT and all like 60 hrs a week at $15 an hour with overnight shifts is great for people who have addictions, debts, or single parents with kids extra $1000 or so a week if you play it right but not easy $ by any means

I usually pick up some extra money through the holiday season by picking up some shifts bartending at catering events.

Also my buddy runs a Christmas Tree business, real easy to pick up a $100 for delivering some trees to a couple shops, takes 3 hours tops.

Never have done this but it's good to see the work being available out there. Any shopping discounts offered to those temporarily employed have to help a lot also.

podunk it is easy as cake, most can get these jobs with one interview, people with big convictions get banished to wearhouese but still make good $ those with no record get these ? free

never change your image to get a job however be considerate of the buisiness and you surrondings, example I have a full facial beard 10/12 months a year however when a big corporate rep came in two weeks ago for the once a year visit I shaved it all off to look proffesional, noone told or even requested I do so but I know when its time to handle things and when looking professionalo is critical and i do it because i know its that time

Only if you have a solid strategy can you win, but you look around here at people's posts and hardly anyone has a strategy at all. $50 bet one day, $400 bet the next. They come out with rubbish like "its a value bet" but that's bullshit. It's bullshit because they don't have a ****ing clue what value is. If they really knew which bets were value and which weren't, they would be in the green - not feeding their kids microwave dinners.

Same here friend.. Easy, fun way to make some extra cash and have a great time while doing it.. Hardly anyone is rude or a d*ck at a party so that makes it even better..
