Its too damn cold for one thing and yes its expensive as hell .... and the food sucked. Very clean though and i felt alot safer than living in LA. The public transportation there kicked ass though the tube was a nice way to get around.

England is a dreary depressing place to live, as for the Pakistani comment, its true but im more bothered by all the Polish, jobs are hard to come by and its alarming how many Poles are coming here and taking what jobs are left.

CCTV cameras are everywhere as someone said, in towns after a session down the pub its hard to even find an alley to take a wizz without a camera being on you.

Then there are the chavs.

Exactly when I lived in Reading 13 years ago it was unreal how much they drank. Their beer is real not watered down 3% shit like in america. Send an average american Joe there he would be drunk in 1 hour.
