Basically a poster claimed he needed points to buy his mom flowers cuz she is battling breast cancer. Some posters said he was scamming and it was a fraud. Wally stepped up and said for him to give the hospital name and her name and he sent th flowers exrpress payment to th hospital on his own dime which cost almost $100. Paco, I appreciate the acknowledgement but it was not without some selfish overtones. Initially I offered to make the donation to expose what I was skeptical of. If the offer was refused then the matter would probably be dropped. Once the offer was accepted though I had a delima. If I don't follow through with it I am not what I am not truly what I try to live my life to be which is a man of my word. If the story is true then the pain the family is going through is far more than the minimal dollars I spent to try and help bring a smile to some of them.
Kindness can be a bad thing if we concern ourselves with what others think. If we lived in a more kind world we wouldn't have some of the problems we see everyday. Unfortunately though it's not a kind enough world. I can't change that, I can only try and improve my little part.Comment -
