    gambling legislation in US
Hi, this is what I got from other forum.... I am too lazy so I will just copy and paste it.

    "
Hello. I just wanted to get peoples thoughts on this. If I remember correctly H.R. 2267 the Internet Gambling Regulation, Consumer Protection, & Enforcement Act of 2009 that will be proposed will officially make online sports betting illegal in the US. I think that is what I read. I'll see if I can find a link or reference somewhere. In the mean time anyone who knows more than myself (which isn't much) please feel free to comment. Thanks "

so what do you guys think?? at the other forum, ppl are saying betting on sports in US is pretty much over.... is this true?? except in las vegas.

I agree with Archie. But I do think the U.S. will legalize it eventually. There's too much tax revenue at stake.

i don't think it will last forever... I mean I am sure offshore books will find their way for customers to make a deposit. But payout limitation will be worse then now and IRS will catch you sooner or later.

I can see something being passed to make it to where you can do this and get taxed at the end. The government has so much debt that they cannot afford not do this. I can see them making it legal to do gambling on the internet in the coming years. I look for it to be passed within the next 2 to 3 years.

Offshore books will cease to exist WHENEVER the US Govt wants them to...... end of story..... if the DOJ decided tomorrow to shut it down by the end of the month it would be or by the end of the year it would be, the fact is they want the tax dollars from honest citizens like myself and a few others who claim this stuff now and will in the future while pretending to nplay dumb, i play mostly adw HORSES now but a bit of offshore and both the VA DT and IRS will take a buck no matter where it comes from BELIEVE THAT!

with this much money at stake????????

the US can just leave it be and not gain from it.... TRY to ban it.............

or go with the flow and PROFIT From it....... I'm not sure, but eventually I think the US might want a piece of this pie
